Everything looks great man definitely like the setup! As far as letting them grow up, remember the point of LST is to keep them as low as possible encouraging every growth site to become a main cola with light intensity diminishing minimally throughout the plant. I wanted to let my plants strech a week before flowering on my current grow and Im glad someone advised against it. When I started flowering the plants were probably 6 or 7 inches tall and now my all of my colas are 5-8 inches long, incredibly stable and I can see them developing all the way to their base. I would strongly advise tying your plant as low as possible spreading out the colas evenly instead of letting it grow up if you plan on vegging another week or two. Just my opinion. Keep up the good work im subbed +rep
Cheers for the advice mate, I'll bear it in mind for future grows but they've already gone into flower, I'll post pics when we've got pistils popping out everywhere, looking like another weeks wait!

Ok we have a bit of a situation here today. While I was out a package got delivered and the garage was open slightly (tumble dryer was running) and the delivery guy left it in there. During the day when the lights/ fans are off, you can smell it slightly and there it's not exactly subtle having a black tent with ducting coming out of it. I am wondering whether or not he would've opened it up or just slid the package under because it was just under the door. I really don't know. I'm tempted to kill it for now. Gonna pain me so bad but it's not worth getting caught.

Gonna have a picture update tonight, might be the last ... :(((

Week 3 Flower

Strawberry haze suffered a little nute burn. These haze strains are damn slow to get going. Didn't really see anymore pistils till week 2. Not sure what I'm going to do yet, will play it by ear.

Wow, your Grow is really sweet.
You dropped in on my Super Lemon Haze in Phototron grow, thanks for adding your link for me.
Your plants look absolutely stunning. You obviously really know your shit.
How did you get your internodal spacing so close in the beginning? That is something I need to work on.
My goal is small internodal space and limited vertical growth.
In the tread someone mentioned Bushmaster by Humboldts own to stop vertcial growth. I think I might give it a shot next time.
When I put my SLH into flowering 12/12 she grew at an alarming rate and her internodal length was way too long. She is finally slowing down. I only have about 8 inches to the top of the phototron left for her.
And yeah, what a sweet lemony smell she gives off... Does your Strawberry haze smell like stawberries.
Thanks for the beautiful pictures, Im jealous...

Thanks for the kind words, this is a first grow and I'm learning all of my stuff from this site.
I think it must just be genetics because I kept the light about 10 inches from them and the strawberry haze was stretching way more, she still is! Even in flowering the SLH hasn't stretched much at all, it's still only about 14 inches tall. You've still got plenty of room in your grow vertically by the looks of things, I wouldn't worry about it :D

It doesn't smell like strawberries, it apparently only comes out in the cure. It smells fruity but no where near as distinct as the lemon haze.

Quick update: I stumbled home at about half 5 last night and thought I would take a look at the ladies and the lights were off when they're meant to be on 7pm-7am. I was in no state to try and sort it so I'll have to have a look tonight when the lights are meant to come on.

Kettle lead was loose on the ballast so the lights didn't stay on for the full 12 hours, missed 3 probably. It's taped back in now! Hopefully it won't confuse them and turn them hermie. I'll have week 4 updates on tuesday.

hey dude, I was working on this drawing and your grow helped me finish it. I had Pepe with a Super lemon Haze plant on one side but needed another plant on the other side to balance things out. So I added the Strawberry Haze to the other side. Pepes stoned out of his fuckin mind.. good good weed...LOL

don't worry about the extra dark, they will grow slightly smaller that day, but will grow more crystals. makes em think it's turning into winter and he get sticky. I know some people who run 10-14 light dark with a blu mh the last 10 days of flushing to get them really sticky. Also are you using Black Strap Molasass, look into it its very high in k and amazing in the formation from week 3-flush, i use it every water(if using soil) alsot of trace minerals!
plants look great tho, are you lst or cropping?

thanks mate, yeh I really do need to get me some molasses. When I get home I will be at week 6, hoping they have grown a fair bit over this week.

I topped the strawberry haze about times in the early veg and the lemon haze just once and then used LST to keep the height down as much as possible.

What is LST to keep the hieght down????
.. check out my grow again if you have time. link in signature.
Due to the hieght of the Super Lemon Haze I have had to grow her top branches side ways and in circular pattern to keep her from hitting the top... need something to help with the hieght. I have a couple more seeds so am thinking about using it in a future grow. I heard Bushmaster by Humblodts Own works for keeping hieght down.. Are you familiar with that product. Thanks, amber

LST stands for "Low stress training" basically it means tying the branches down to make them grow horizontally instead of virtically. Just like you did with the top of your plant. topping, pruning etc is all classed as high stress training. I'll come check it out, thought I'd subbed to it but obviously not. afraid I haven't heard of any of those growth hormones but LST has worked really well for me, definitely recommend it to a friend.

QUICK UPDATE
I got back from my week away over christmas to find very ill looking plants, lots of yellowing, some fan leaves curled up and dead. I left the carer of the plants a list of the exact measurements to put into the water and how often. Turns out "they got worried about getting it wrong" so they just used plain tap water. I'm guessing a severe nute deficiency will of stunted them pretty badly. Hopefully won't affect the final outcome too badly. They've essentially been flushed for a week... sigh.

I'm going to try rememdy them this week and get them into a better picture conditions. The super lemon haze is frosting up nicely though, exciting stuff. Next week will be week 6. Half way there :D ... hopefully.

thanks for the kind words amber but they are really struggling, not looking very optimistic towards the yield side of things but hopefully they will still be a nice smoke :D

:joint::hump:hey, those babys will bounce back... trust me.
I grew some SLH last year and stressed the fuck out of her. I pruned he to death. I grew her with another plant in the phototron so she had no room.... I over nutriented her with burn.... but she produced over an ounce for me. The thing is it took A LOT of extra time, like maybe an extra month or more. She is a slow grower to begin with and stress will slow her down even more. Be patient and I think you will be surprised with the results. Try to get her healthy and green again. Maybe a bloom boost with molassas or Bloombastic to help her buds. I still think your plants are beautiful. Keep us posted!bongsmilie

Don't suppose you've got any pictures of that last SLH kicking around have you? I ordered 3kg of blackstrap organic (unsulfured) molasses today so will start adding that to the feeding when it arrives, great minds eyyy. Thanks for the morale boost :D

The thing I've noticed with both plants is lack of pistils, there are hardly any. It might be a bad pheno but I think it could've been nute lock out from the ph. I was using a tonne of rhizotonic in veg and the roots went crazy, the rootball is going to be the best bit lol. The temperature has been fluctuating like mad as well, hurrendously cold during the first 5 weeks of flower, a pretty crucial time. Yeh TTT was saying a couple days ago that the strawb was shit.

I've already got the seeds for my next grow, going to start off an easy ryder and lowryder2 (had the beans for ages) and then after about 40 days I'm gonna germ my trainwreck and OG kush seeds, should work out pretty well for time.

Amber, if you haven't already, you should check out las' monster super lemon haze on the last page of his journal, it's pretty special!
