They looked much bigger after not seeing them for two days. The one from soil from day 1 is much better thsn others, bit I think they're going to make it. I'll take pics tomorrow. I think I'm going to also make w smaller box to pit one of these plants in. Then later I can use it for veg box like you. I tjink I'll do two ys in a socket plug and stick four bulbs and the smallest plant in there. Thinking about getting some fox farm soil tomorrow too.

all sounds good man, ive thought about getting some of that fox farm, but i keep sticking with my cheap stuff. the small box is real handy for vegging and drying, cant wait to see the pics. i am gonna get some more Y's and 4 more bulbs to get my veg box going again. with 2 bulbs, the temp was only 86 with just the passive intake and 2 80mm fans, but i also have another big fan to help draw air in if i put 4 bulbs in there.

day 85 for the girls and there doing good, still getting brown leaves. i was trying to get a couple of the buds to point more towards the lights and i could feel when i kinda snapped the stems so i put paint sticks to hold them up, hope they will be ok, guess i'll know in a few days.

So I bought the FF Ocean Forest soil today (better be good, it was $20/bag). I transplanted the two that were in the small pot into their own 3 gallon pot. Unfortunately the one that was by far the biggest and best (the one from soil from the beginning) looks really rough and droopy after the transplant. I'm hoping she perks up by tomorrow. She was absolutely perfect before and right after the transplant then an hour later looked like this. Uh. Also sorry the pictures come out sideways here, they're normal when I take/upload/download/view them here. Weird.

I had to get another box to fit the third pot and went with the regular sized wardrobe box. In hindsight I wish i had just done the same setup as the last box, but oh well. This way I can use it as veg box or maybe just do one plant all the way through, like this time (assuming that the transplanted plant recovers, I put her in this one by herself). I have four bulbs in there, 23w each, 3 6500k and 1 2700k.

Fingers crossed.

Oh, in the other box with two one of them is the Fox Farm soil and the other I kept with the Lowes bought soil. I forget the kind but it was some organic kind (not MG) and was like $8. The FF soil is a lot..airier than the other one. I'm just really hoping they all three make it. I think now that the smaller two are developing some leaves their growth might accelerate.

With all the stuff thats in ffof I would say its worth the money!! You will be happy you went with it, the hard part is handing over the 20 lol..

Whats the temp in there? Do you have some kind of fan or ventilation?

They're in the high 70s (like 77-78). No fans yet. When they get bigger I have an oscillating Dan I was planning on using to hit them with.

I'm definitely learning a lot and can't wait to try out some RP seeds next time.

how bout them temps treeZ, is that sweet with no fans, i told him to get something in there for air movement. how much FF do you get for $20? man, that first pic, that plant looks sad, too bad, maybe try misting it with water a few times a day? well heres the ph thing i use, its ok and is pretty close to my fresh water test kit, but if you can get a better one, you should, this one was $8 at H.D. i thought about getting one of those small wardrobe boxes, i still may. its all looking good though, way to go man. how does that FF soil ph treeZ? also, just from the pics, keep that soil moist till they get a little bigger.

Thats the thing, the FF soil is right on @ a neutral ph of 7. So it makes it pretty easy, just water with 6.8 or close and you will be good.

If you remember CD, back when I was growing the first Shortriders that turned male I still had ph problems with FFOF because I was watering with 8 or higher ph!!

You can get a digital ph pen for 20 bucks off ebay, its what I have and a few others and we all love it. Just seach for the milwaukee 600..

Or you could always just get a liquid test kit and just test the water before and the runoff after..

yeah, i remember that. well, im not doing anything right now, gonna just finish these out, they'll be ok. but maybe try the FF in the future. i know dirt isnt just dirt, but ive done ok with my cheap soil, i dont think thats been my problem, but would be nice to have everything right for when i get those good seeds. i do use my liquid test kit more now, but still get the same brown leaves no matter what i do here lately, LoL. just dont get what im missing, but i'll figure it out. its getting close to going to work with the dogs, if i dont go to texas and stay here, its on!! im getting the most mac daddy shit i can to grow, LMAO. so, its gotta be right, but will still be in the ghetto u-haul grow box, LoL. i keep reading about ph being 5.8 and 6.5, which is right for soil?

Lookin good Concord. What strain are those seedlings?
these were 2 clones from molly, the first part of this thread. but just some mids i got here in florida, the buds have cool looking pink hairs, which go away after a while. the smoke is ok, but as i said before, i might have picked it at the wrong time on molly. i know its not no dank shit like treeZ is growing, LoL.

You should definitely give the FFOF a try when you get your seeds ordered! Then you can compare the scotts and FFoF, I couldn't find any of the scotts at wallgreens otherwise I probably would have tried it and the MG organic is like 8 bucks plus perlite plus if You wanted to get technical the earthworm castings, bat guano and everything else they put in the ff soil.. Anyway you know the deal lol..

U-haul box or not, scotts or FFof, your going to grow some fire bud when you get the genetics!! I can't wait to see how these girls turn out when you let them go for as long as possible still though :)

I've heard about the lower ph for soil too, I've kinda just stuck around 6.5 ish and its been okay.. I've read like around 6.8 for veg and more around 6 for flowering but I'm not sure what to believe...

Edit, I still think you should try WonderWoman btw!!!

You were right CD, she was dying of thirst I think. I watered this morning so hopefully she'll start recovering. I think the bigger bottom leaves are gone for good but hopefully she'll recover. All 3 are messed up in their own way, though the smaller girls are starting to slowly pick it up. Hopefully now that everyone is in their permanent home they'll start recovering and growing strong. It's pretty frustrating but I'm chalking all this up to experience I guess.

Thanks for the ph tester info, I'll be ordering it tonight.

I'll check on the size of the FF bag, I think it was 1.5 cubic feet which means nothing to me. Based on what I've used it looks like each bag will fill around 3 3 gallon pots.

sup CD, i get a big bag of coco coir at the hydro store for $20.i beleive its called Sunshine pro mix just coir. it fills up at least 10 1.66 gallon pots maybe more. i filled up like 4 1.66 gallon pots already and still have more then half the bag. no nutes in it,it dont get messy and stain like dirt does, hard to overwater, etc. i dont think i'll ever be using soil again, only outside in my tomatoes lol.
