lmao, even my "ghetto ass veg box" is close.

i dont really use this that much, i throw my mothers outside during the day, the sun works better. but just to keep them under the lights over night i made this.

my box used to max out at 88 degrees when i was under the 18/6 schedule,now under 12/12 it max's out at 84 degrees.but i just bought a new box(i have bought like 5 already trying to get the best design.lol only $1.30 at HD)i think i have a idea on getting my temps even lower now with this new box.now its my flower box so its staying under 12/12 i got a couple more clones ima throw in there soon,to keep me with steady smoke. in the pics above of my veg box, thats Vanilla kush on the right, and Raw diesel on the left.both are about to be topped so they can start to get bushy.

man, those girls are looking nice. i like the fans in the roof of the box, seems like it would draw the hot air out better that way. that bathroom vent fan looks like a good ldea also. are the kush and diesel clones also? looks like you got it down now man, good job. i dont use my veg box that much either. my big box stays at 84/86 but i have like 5 computer fans in it, i found that the passive intake works better that an intake fan. oh hell yeah, ghetto cfl all the way. the ghetto thread has been hit and miss lately, a few post and then it goes dead for a while, same with the low-watt cfl cartel, i try to post in all to keep them going, LoL. i havent been to the florida thread in a while either.

the kush and diesel i started from seed. they are bout 4 weeks old. those are the only 2 strains i have left out of 12 i ordered from attitude. (noob mistakes) but fuck it. they are going to be mothers till december when i order more seeds.

thats why i was asking u why do clones take longer. ive only had my clones for 2 and a half weeks. my seedlings a month. and u can see the difference.

this was the first time i did clones, so i really didnt know what to expect or how long they take, and this strain is wacked, LoL. but at least i did it. i have been lucky using bag seeds and getting females. i wish i would have just ordered seeds from the beginning, but i had to start somewhere and now have 3 sucessful grows under my belt. the next grow will be some good seed though. when i grow from seeds, i would top them at the 3rd or 4th node, give them a couple more days to recoup and then to 12/12 at about 15 days. then by day 28 or so, they would show sex. the first 2 grows, 5 out of 6 were females of random seeds. plus molly was already flowering when i took these 2 clones, so some extra time for revegging was needed i guess. good seeds will be next for sure. if i can order 2 real good strains, then get clones from them, all would be good. im looking at these 2 from herbies pick n mx seeds. their shipping is only like $7 and the 2 seeds would be like $20. ive read good reviews about them and there sevice and the seeds are from well known seed banks.

heres the girls at day 79, everything is going smooth right now 4 1/2 weeks into flowering. ive been going back and forth on the nutes and plain water, seems to be working out ok so far.

Thanks CD, your pics were a ton of help and I'm going to copy your setup as best as I can. One quick question: how did you power the Lowes light bar? Don't fixtures like that just come with like two wires for power? Did you somehow connect those to a standard plug?

hey no problem, just take an extension cord and cut the end off it, it comes with cap screws to twist the wires together, then tape it up with black tape. i bought a cheap 6' cord for 99 cents.

I hadn't even thought about that yet, I just wanted to get some light on these girls ASAP. Since they'll be in a fairly cool room (like 65-70' wo lights) without the door portion (I know they would have mkre reflection with it) I thought heat might not be an issue. I have a small 12" fan in there now but haven't used it.

yeah if its that cool in there, as long as you air movement, things should be good. im in florida and we have had a hot summer, outside temps in the mid/high 90's. in the house, its been high 70's with the a/c on and my box stays at 84/86 during the day and 79 with the lights out. the boxes sit in my bedroom so theres plenty of air flow.

One more q, sorry. I bought the lightbar and there is a third wire tjats attached to the silver plate (which I won't be using anyway) and it gies and wraps around the black and white wire. Should I just remove tjat?

hey, no problem man, ask away, LoL. yes, its a copper ground between the 2, just hook the black and the white wires to the extension cord and tape it up good.

So I set it up temporarily b/c U-Haul was closed for the night. I'm using 8 23W 6500K lights right now on a 20/4 schedule and plan on putting in 8 23W 2700K once they start flowering (they're easy ryder autoflowers. Next grow I'm skipping this autoflower stuff).

Oh yeah, the biggest one in the left pot was the one that I put in the soil from beginning. There is also a small one that was in the aerogarden in the bottom of the same planter and one in the right pot that also came from the AG. Assuming the two that I transplanted from the AG today make it, I'm going to put them all in their own pots. They are six days old tonight.

hell yeah bro, i like it, cant wait to see it in the box and all set up. when you get the grand wardrobe box, make sure you get the metal rod too. the box comes flat, it filled the bed of my s 10, LoL. also, you wanna mix those bulbs up like, 6 6500k's and 2 2700k's for veg, and then the other way for flowering. i'll post the thing i have on why to do that later. yeah i was all excited about the autos at first, but i rather control the grow cycle. good luck man, its all coming together.

Alright man, here it is so far. I still have to put some mylar on the door and straighten some things out but I love it so far. I'm checking the temp now with the door shut to see what it goes to. If need be I'll leave the door open until I figure out proper venting (probably through you, lol). Anyway, I really love the setup man and it's a huge upgrade over the stupid aerogarden. Also, I swapped out two of the 6500K bulbs for 2700K (you can tell in the pic).

So far I can't really tell if the AG transplants are going to make it. They're not really getting any worse at all, but they're not growing either. In fact even the strong one isn't growing tall yet really, but more wide. Maybe it's the strain, plus it's only been a week tonight.
