theres new shoots all over the place, i'd say 6 to 8 maybe on each? im not sure how many will be main tops, i mean these things are bushy as hell. theres also white hairs shooting out everywhere too. cant wait till i start seeing some buds.

well its day 52, venus and raven are looking great, they should be really happy with the lower temps due to the fact that i got my new power supply!!! the temp is down to a chilly 82 now, LoL. i raised venus up just a little to be at the same height under the lights as raven. i have my box all nice and neat now and everything is all good in the leaning u-haul grand wardrobe box.

now heres how i wired the new 12v computer power supply.
first i laid out everything i needed, see pics. the first thing you have to do is cut the green wire from the plug with 20 or 24 wires. this wire is the constant on power wire and the power supply will not work without doing this!! cut a black wire from the same harness and connect to the green wire, even if the unit has an external on/off switch you must do this for the unit to work!! you can now plug in the unit and the fan in the unit should start.now fine one of the flat 4 prong plugs and connect a 12v computer fan to it. the fan should start working. on most power units, there are 4 of these plugs, but some will just be a jumper from another. my guess is, if you hook up 2 fans to 2 of the plugs off the same line, each fan will only run at half speed due to splitting the single 12v wire.

on most units, the yellow wires are the 12v wires, red wires are only 5v but can still be used, your fans will just run at a slower speed due to less voltage. i think the orange wires are 3.5v. im not sure if you can use 2 colors like orange and red together to make 8.5 volts. now, there are other yellow wires with different plugs on the ends. i cut the extra flat 4 prong plugs off the doubled ones and connected them to the extra yellow wires. this gives me 5 total 12v single plugs, enough to run all my 12v fans.

i will take the fan out of the old power supply, clean it up and use it in my veg box. those 2 fans will run off 2 12v power adapters i had from an old printer and an old scanner. on these, as far as i know, the wire with the white stripe will be the positive wire and go to the red or yellow wire on the 12v fan. then black wire to black wire. 1 of the 2 fans in there broke a blade off and dam that thing made some noise, so in the garbage it went. i did notice when i took the cover off to get the fan out of the power supply that this was filled with dust. i mean full!! this is the thing that killed the unit i guess. i live in a house and we have had the ac on for months now and i just dont understand where all this dam dust comes from.

so any ways, there you have it, how to use a computer power supply for running 12v fans. now, i am not an electrician and this can be very dangerous as in getting shocked. so be very careful and make sure you tape up all connections and bare wires and you should have no problems. these units are great for this and there real cheap. this one was just 12.99 with shipping on ebay and it is brand new. hope this helps anyone who has been wanting use one of these but not sure how to make it work. heres the pics to follow.

day 53 for the girls and it been 6 days of 12/12. the girls are almost through their first jug of flowering nutes, that comes out to 5 waterings per gallon over about 9 days. theres plenty of new growth everyday and the girls are bright green and very healthy looking. there are more white hairs shooting out all over them.

thanks all, i'll let these 2 go as long as they, im sure i picked molly to soon. they both split right at the bottom from trimming the flowers off when i cut the clones. but then there are like 4 or 5 shoots off each of those. we'll see how many put out the big bud on all the branches. they do look good tho.

well since they were revegged, there was always some hairs, but now, there like pooping out everywhere!!, LoL. i was just reading your thread about the lights. i know i read/have somewhere that you want a mixed spectrum, i just cant find it right now, if im not mistaken, it would be 3 2700k's and 1 55/6500k for every 4 bulbs. i use 1 6500k and 1 2700k bulb in my veg box cause when i do veg, its only for 15 to 20 days. i want to get 2 more Y splitter and some more bulbs for the veg and it would be 2 more 6500k's for the 3 and 1 thing. i know ive read many different places about mixing the spectrum, just didnt want to get all caught up with it your thread, LoL. my 6 bulb fixture has 5 2700k and 1 6500k and works just fine.

Yea I was wondering if they kept hairs throughout veg being clones , now I know

I remember someone telling me that they've tried all 2700k and mixed 2700k and 6500k and had the best results with the same strain with the mixed spectrum but I can't remember where it was or who suggested it lol.. I'm about to put up more pics of the WW, shes coming out better than I ever expected thats for sure!!

day 55, the girls are still looking very happy. i hope these things bud though, LoL. i got an idea last night talking about the bulbs. i took the 2 bulbs and the Y from the veg box and put it on the light bar in the flowering box. going to home depot in a few to get another Y and then i'll have 8 bulbs on the girls. that will be 6 2700k's and 2 6500k's total. then when i decide to start some new plants in the veg box, i'll take the 2 center Y's from the flower box and i'll have 4 bulbs in the veg box and all i'll need to get is 2 more bulbs and i'll be back to 6 again in the flower box. then when im done vegging and they go in the flower box, just swap the Y's back and i'll have 8 in there for flowering again.

hope that all made sense, LoL. i hope to have some extra money soon to get all the Y's and bulbs i need to have both boxes with all the lights working this way. then i could do clones from the plants when they go into the flowering box and keep real good shit going. and of course some good seeds to do this with!!

ok, i got the new Y and now have 8 bulbs in there for the girls. my second 6" 12v took a shit last night so i took it out and swapped out the 80mm fan for the 90mm fan from the old power supply. the temp is still 82 even with more bulbs and the other fan gone, so all is good again. the big fan hole works good for a passive intake.

as for the veg box, all i need is 3 Y's and 4 bulbs to finish my plan, all of that will be like $17. but that will have to wait a while. plus i dont need it right now any ways. the old 80mm fan i swapped with the 90mm is now in the veg box to replace the 1 with a broken blade, so i now have 2 fans again for exhaust with plugs that will run off the new power supply that still has 2 open plugs.
