i grew a couple outside this year grower boy, i'm in portsmouth which is one of the sunnier parts of the uk, i used normal seeds but they took forever and i found yeild lower.
Paulgut lucky boy living in the sun, i would have thought you would be better with nutes for yeilds etc as the bud boosters do seem to be good, The plants i mentioned above where grown organically and whether it was the sun or the nutes but yeilds were lower than my mate who had the seeds under 600w lights and proper nutes.
Simpson i was thinking of getting the pollen from a male auto ak47 and buying some ak48 and breeding them next grow. Is there anyway of storing the pollen for a month or two till i need it??

i am pretty sure if you need to save pollen you can keep it in the fridge... it might be the freezer.. but i think either way would work..

actually.. just read a little something.. you want to store the pollen in an air tight container... let it sit in a dark, room temp spot for 24 hours after harvesting the pollen.. then move it to the fridge for 3 or 4 days... then move it to the freezer until use... https://www.rollitup.org/general-marijuana-growing/14319-milking-my-nuts.html

Nice one i will do that!! They don't do mixed seeds of the AK48 do they?? I also wanna try some smurfberry but again i think they only do fem seeds, which is a pain as they aren't cheap

sadly no.. they dont do mixed autos... for me thats good.. i cant really do the mixed seed thing with the way my grow is... but for those who like to breed their own seeds it does suck... i think if you took a male ak47, pollenated a female ak48, took a male from those seeds and pollenated another ak48, then those seeds would have ak48 dominance with qualities of the ak47.. but i really think that ak48 is just a more refined ak47 auto...

I think i am getting a bit obsessed!!!! keep thinking of new things to try and spending all my money upgradeing my set up. The auto's are definately the best for me, don't think i would like the extra wait even if it was for a higher yeild. I like the idea of the ak48 simpson, What type do you grow??

i dont grow any autos yet myself.. i have watched many auto grows and got to know a bunch of auto growers well.. i was skeptical about them.. and although i think they have a place in my grow, i still want to have some larger ladies.. thats why i will be just filling in the gaps in the flower room i am building with autos...

i am definitely going with ak48... there is a blueberry x ak47 that sounds lovely... and another called smurfberry... i think those will probably be the ones i go with...

The short stuff mix i bought are getting big and as they are in the amazon there isn't much room. I was wondering about taking off the shade leaves to get them some more room.
I don't know what effects this will have or if i need to, any advice?????
I will add some pics when their dark cycle is finished

i never recommend removing fan leaves...

if you want an explanation i would be happy to provide one.. but to keep it short, i dont ever remove anything unless its over 50% damaged or i am lollipopping for flowering

I have put my NFT tank back in the room to make more room in my amazon. I am going to put 7-9 plants in the NFT and hopefully they will be ok
When transplanting them my idea is to take a 4" rockwool cube and take the outside wrapping off, split it and make a hole in the bottom for the roots, put the wrapping back on, then lie it in the tank and run the roots over the matting.
Any idea if this is ok to do or any better ideas??? If i don't hear of anything i will be transplanting tomorrow and will do pics as i do it.

I transferred some plants from my amazon to the NFT. They seem to be doing well.
The problem is some of them are looking very yellow. One in my flood and drain (but the others look good) and some in the amazon.

What is causing this?? I was thinking maybe overwatering so i have turned down the sprinklers in the amazon but this can't be the problem with the flood and drain as the others are all ok.

they do look a bit over watered... cutting back a little isnt a bad idea.... overwatering can cause nutrient uptake problems... so it could just be causing issues with those plants because those plants are more easily affected by that issue than other plants... some take a lot of nutes and some take less... those that take less can handle over watering when it comes to nute uptake problems than those that have higher nute needs.. cut back watering and see if that doesnt help some first...
