New Grower Needing Assistants

So we have had our plants growing for about 3-4 months they are about 18-20 inches each and are pretty green. But I'm getting dying leaves, yellowing browning leaves, is this due to lack of nutrients? I replanted them once during the growing stage and that's about it. here are some photos if anyone can help that would be great. ... Also these are only mid plants since it is our first grow.

You are going to need waaaaay more light there bro. Look how stretched they are. Leaf structure also indicates over fertilization along with possible ventilation issues. Got more info on your grow? This is just an educated guess, each grow is unique.

Good luck!

i agree with unity, you can go to wal-mart and get what you need to add 6 cfl's for maybe 30 bucks, they would definately love the extra light!

picked up a few new lights tonight at walmart... got a bulb that puts out 1300 lumes (spelling) that was good for growing. So much more light in my room now I think thats what they needed. Plus idk how to vent my closet would just opening the door every few hours do the same as having fresh air coming in and out?

Ill post more photos of what the room looks like now!

Update: I bought a light this past weekend and it has been on the plants for 4 days so far. The plant on the right looks like its doing so much better but the one on the left looks like its dying. The light I bought puts out high purple and blue light from what the other person said that I'm growing with they are the lights to use. It puts out 3500 lumes (spelling) of light, its made for reptiles and plants I believe.

@unity I don't know much about fertilization but I have only used one half stick of miracle grow on the plant on the left and its dying.. as for the plant on the right all I have done is water it, keep it under the light. I also think its not the right temp in the closet. I haven't ran the fan in awhile since its pretty room temp in the closet. You gotta bare with me since I'm a noob, trying to learn so much in such little time.

Here are some updated photos, Its really bright in the room but I turned the settings on the camera so you could see the pictures so they didnt wash out.

i would cut those plants above the 3rd or 4th node right now. let them fill in a LOT. theyre 3-4 months old?
Yes they are that old. So basically just cut them at the 3rd or 4th node do you mean the top nodes now or the bottom starting nodes where the leaves have fallen off?

Looks like you did almost everything wrong. Spend the next week reading, throw these plants in the garbage, and start over. There's no point in finishing these plants out, the experiences you will have from this point forward are so far from the norm it would be pointless to try and learn anything from it. And no disrespect meant here, but you fucked up so many things during the easiest part of the grow I can't imagine what you'll do to these poor things in flower...

Do your research, fix the lighting problem, get proper soil, and try again!

What this guys is saying you'll be wasting your time, electric, nutrients, money and your not going to get very much to make it worth your time or money:oWatch some videos on u-tube I use to like skaterdude1229's videos of Greenman's "How to grow weed-Parts 1-10" and there is a few more like this nut:lol:

Ok If it were me I would do.....

(1) get more, more , more more more more CFL's...or save up and get a 250HPS or 400HPS (u need at least 3,000 lumens per sq/ft or the grow area)
example: if i grew 2 plants in an area of 2 feet by 2 feet, thats 4 square feet, so I would need at least 12,000 Lumens spread out over the 4 square feet]
(2) I would re-plant in bigger pots. ( for being 3-4 months old, im sure the roots have taken up all the space in those little pots)
(3) If you use miracle grow nutrient, I would use at 1/4 the strength of what the package says, and only feed once a week, plain water the rest of the time
(4) Top the plant above the 4th or 5th node like stated above, ( this will keep the plant shorter and bushier, rather than tall and slender.

Ummmm I think that would be a good start. Just try to get more lumens (6400k for veggin and 2700k for flowering) and keep them as close to the plants as possible' like 1-2" away....Hope this helps! Keep up the good work

Thank you guys for the help, I've been doing more research on growing within the time that these have been going. I'm getting a few more bulbs like the one I have on the plant now (puts out 1300 lumes)

Yeah dude now you're talking, you could even do 4 or 6 plants under there no problem... but that thing puts out a lot of heat. So have you thought about how you're going to keep the temperatures down in your grow room?

P.S. A 250W would be fine for 2 plants, but you're still likely to have the aforementioned heat issues. :)

that's something I have to think about I might take the door off and put a open face face like you'd put in a window facing outwards to suck the hot air out I was looking up peoples closet grows. so I think that's a logical way to get the air out. Looks like ill be ordering the new lights tomorrow payday! chaching!

First Timer here and need help. Here's the story.

I have 2 different rooms, both with plants that are flowering. 40 days into flowering on a 8 week flowering time. In one of my rooms i had my white widow, start growing these fucking nanners, just on those two i noticed in that room. All others seem to be fine that i can see. In my other room i had my train wreck do the same thing. Same story just those 2 pants and every other one is okay. I must add that the other plants are different strains then the ones listed. I Had a light malfuncation in the room with the train wreck, so that may have cause those. But i cant understand what happened to my white widow, the room there in has been perfect threw there hole life.

What I have done so far

Took all good plants and put them in a room. then took the ones with the nanners and put in the other room.
I went threw and plucked all those nanner things i could see off the 2 white widow and 2 train wreck.

Qustions I Have

Are all my other plants going to be ok, meaning did i catch the problem before those nanners could polinate my other plants. I notcied when i plucked them they were really wet still. Not sure if that makes a difference or not.

Should the 4 plants with the nanners be ok, because the plants looking amazing with fat nice nugs. My avatar picture is one of my train wreck. Or what should i do with plants.

Does this mean i need to cut my white widow mother and train wreck mother down.

Please help any thing will help. Like i said this is my first grow. Please help.

Not sure if this matters but i took the co2 out of both rooms and then 2 days later, being yesterday, i noticed the nanners. I will also be putting a dehumidifier in both rooms today to get my humidity down as i read is very good to do the last 2-3 weeks of flowering. The humidity in the 2 rooms stays about 50% right now. what should i try to get the humidity down to when putting in dehumidiifers today
