IMG_1399.JPG IMG_1399.JPG IMG_1399.JPG IMG_1399.JPG IMG_1400.JPG IMG_1399.JPG IMG_1400.JPG IMG_1401.JPG IMG_1402.JPG Hi I'm new to these forums have a couple of grows under my belt but this is my first organic grow and I'm having problems with new growth it is very pale im in 15l pots with plagron royalty mix under a 600w metal halide I'm using pm granules pm root stim on there first feed I flushed the soil with around 15 litres of water each pot they all grew fine and dident need a feed for around 10 days after that I fed with 2.5ml a litre of root stim and just under 0.5ml per litre of silicon this problem started just before second feed temps are always between 75-80 (24h veg). I think it's either a iron def as I haven't ph'd as with organic I heard it was not necessary or could IT be that the plants are just getting used to the strong soil will upload pics in a second if anyone has anymore questions please ask

Also water is very soft here and I always let it sit a day

i have afew guesses lol but let's kick off with....nitrogen def...light bleach or lights being too far away ( doubt it doesn't look stringy )
 
Well the soil (royal mix) is big on nitrogen with worm castings and what not and its supposed to be enough feed for 6 weeks I have barley done 2 light is about 40cm away just moved up about another 10 cm
 
They seems okay, just a lil over watered. What pH if you're really worried? could be like .2 lower than it should be...
 
Don't worry about pH and letting your water sit up...that's nothing more than unsubstantiated "forum make work".

Yes, they're a little pale which suggests they need more N. Work some blood meal into the top if you're gonna stay organic. No more than a level TBSP per pot or maybe 2 tsp/pot until you get a feel for it. Blood meal may be organic but it readily gives up N in a salt form and can get hot. It will convert into nitrates within 5 days under normal room temps so be patient and wait for results before throwing something else at your plants.

What are you doing about micros? It's anyone's guess what the real elemental values are in that stuff. You are at a loss, not in control, when it comes to plant nutrition with most organics.

What is "pm granules pm root stim"? and why are you using it?

When you use as much as 15 L. per pot you're flushing a lot of N out. Water with tap water until you get a decent runoff out the drainholes and then stop. Also, never allow your pot to completely dry out.

Tip - collect your runoff and use the tea to water houseplants.

The problem your seeing is a cal-mag deficiency see how your are getting the striations on your upper leaves and those large leaf ridges? How long have you been vegging in that royalty mix for? After about 3 weeks depending on the strain and room temp humidity you need to start adding some base fertilizers and cal-mag supplementation or you will see deficiencies which you are noticing now.. Bol
 
Looks low on nitrogen as well idk if the cal-mag has enough in it but I would recommend you just getting plain water at 6.5 and putting it into 1 of your containers and water until run-off I would check that run off to get a ppm reading to see how much nutrients are still remaining in the soil? If you are under say 700-800 ppm then you need to start adding additional nutrients back to charge your soil and fix the deficiencies.. BOL cheers

Typical RIU New Member, newbie answer.....the I-don't-know-shit-but-will-come-across-like-I-do drills - "adjust the pH, needs epsom salts, flush for 48 hours and then....."

No, it's not a cal-mag deficiency. Look, you're coming in here balls to the wall passing out incorrect info. I'll not bother getting into it all but mag deficiency shows up in the lower part of leaves, not upper for starts.

Trace element deficiencies show up in the newer growth.

Haha okay uncle ben you're wrong mag deficiencies show up on top quite often... Calcium deficiency show up more often on the bottoms but can also pop up in middle or on top you want pictures.. I'm running a new cut right now that is a heavy cal-mag hound and only shows up on new upper regions of the plants this dude def isn't a ph problem... And ur saying same thing I did he needs more mag !! That's why you tellin him to add Epsom salts you're a funny dude

You're a funny dude you're wrong man he does need more mag and fertilizer did you read the guys posts? Mag deficiencies do start in upper leaves too what are you talking about? Calcium deficiencies primarily start in upper newer growth old calcium remains in lower portions of plant it's immobile just like magnesium so wtf are you talking about bro you're WRONG! Go to any website and research deficiencies calcium and mag show up on new growth I promise you... This dudes not as smart as he thinks he is ... You've never ran a strain like chem or an original skunk haze that you need double up mag on...you get the praying hands and leaf striations primarily on upper growth I've never gotten a mag deficiency on lower growth it's an immobile element.. Gets carried to upper new growth and usually shows there first in my experience is what he is seeing right now... Like I said if u read posts I'd start w a cal-mg has a little nitrogen try it out.
 
uncle ben is correct. Mag starts down below. Calcium will start up top. Yal should read his thread before telling him hes wrong...
