I recognize that apollo tent anywhere haha. Looking good!
Yea, for the money, I can't complain. Not to shabby... A see through window would be nice so that i don't let the stink out every time I take a peek. That gives me an idea though.. I may cover the side window with clear plastic from the inside..

Hell yeah, I have an Apollo ballast/hood to go along with the tent I have no complaints so far

On the side of my tent I have a very large zip up access panel. There is no mesh over that area...

I've been using 2-400's for a few years now and they're getting the job done. It sure beats trying to flower with CFL's thats for sure. I use some CFL's very early on with seedlings for the first few weeks or so and they're good for that.
I have messed with every light. I finally upgraded to a 400w hps with air cooled hood. I am glad I did. Cooling the space is so much easier. CFL's run warm and it's difficult to capture all the heat and vent it out. I even had two 150w hps and with the 400w my tent stays much cooler. Normally I run 2-3 degrees above ambient temps.

I sort of wish I had a 600w in my 3x3 tent so it would fill the space better, but I'm pretty happy with it.

Yep and its not much more money for the extra performance you gain......I have a 400m/h in one of my veg spaces and rest are 600s and every time I look at it I wish it was a 600 ....perhaps I'm being greedy because the 400m/h doesn't need to cover that much of an area so it's perfect for it's purpose.....but.....it's the 600 every time imo......but having a good bulb is just as important imo worth paying that couple of quid for good quality .....

One of these days Im gonna upgrade mine to 600's. But if I dont, I pull a couple Oz's off each plant with the 4's and its mostly just for the Mrs so its been working.

Yea, but there is always that desire to do better :) I was at a collective today and looking at their buds. They're so awesome looking. Rock hard and smell great. I'm almost to that point, but not quite. We'll see how this round turns out.

Yeah, those nice dense buds. Thats where some of the challenge is for sure. I have a certain strain I run that produces golf ball like hard frosty nugs but its otherwise a challenge to get good density.
What do you think about running clones? When I buy seed it's hit or miss as to the quality and genetics. For instance I paid top dollar for Critical Jack seeds ( A Sativa) and I popped one seed. It looks more like an afghani.. I was thinking that I can get clones from collectives for less than the price of seed and they would hopefully be quality genetics.

Clones r good but imo seeds r always better......you always end up with a more symmetrical plant with seeds(which I like)as opposed to a clone that likes to grow in different directions(sometimes)........but cob you gotta get yourself a couple of 6s........I invested wot I sold for my first grow into buying the digi 660s I use now(sunmaster and I Sun pro)both excellent ballasts used with sunmaster duel spec bulbs the pro has a built in timer and works perfectly......the differences in yield and quality r very noticeable asswell......at first when I looked at them 2years ago I thought I've gotta have these ...but.....the money they were asking back then was fkn ludicrous but now you can get a digital ballast bulb and shade for under £80 quid.......a no brainer imo.....

Have you never took clones before sunny?I'm not talking about buying them ........I mean sprouting them......pain in the ass .......I can have a seed sprout grow and be ready to flower when my clones r still sitting thinking about throwing a few roots out....

Heck ya. You're fortunate enough to be in an area where you have access to clones. For many of us, we don't have that option except for taking our own cuts from whatever is growing.

Yeah I know speed is different for everybody but buying them ready to plant and taking them and waiting for roots are 2 different games for sure. I mostly suck ass at cloning and do almost everything from seed. I always say, "Thank god for the seedbanks"

Wots your fav plant cob.......just curious??
I think when it comes down to it and I had to pick one it would be one of the very first I ever ran and thats the Herijuana strain from Sannies Shop. These days he has it in a femenized version too. Its got knock out potency but its easy to grow. Not only are the nugs tight and hard, it seems like the whole plant has a good stiffness to it and I like that. Its also resistant to mold that I have to be real careful of.
Its a straight Indica that finishes fast so it seems to me to be something that has no downside to it. I guess maybe its not as massave a yielder as some are but its just a joy to grow.
Read the page on it...... http://www.sanniesshop.com/herijuana-feminized-en.html
And for a nice Sativa, his Sugarpunch is just outstanding as well.

Got my Luminaire hood setup finally and a new Phillips bulb. Makes a huge difference in light coverage and intensity. Plants should love it. Pics tomorrow.

I have cloned before.. Pain in the ass.. If I had space and lower electricity cost I would likely run a veg room with a few moms, but I just can't do it here. I am thinking of buying rooted clones.. It took me like 8 weeks to veg my current plants and that seems too long. I feel like I need to top them a few times so I get a nice even canopy, but maybe I am done with that. I may just veg for three weeks then flower..
