New Setup New Grow 400 hps

1 down and three to go.. Super Skunk was my largest plant. Turned out real nice. Buds hanging in the closet now.

Just an update.. 2nd plant harvested. Lots of ambers on her. Yield could have been way better on her. Not sure why she didn't put out.

Still harvesting and trimming..

This is the bubba 76. I couldn't stand this plant at first, but it turned out to be a real winner. It's a really great candidate for Mainline. Yield is heavy. Smells good and the buds are so crazy looking. I've never seen anything like it. It went 70 days which was probably a week too long now that I look under the scope. The ambers came on really fast and she barely has a fan leaf left.

I LST'd this one, but if I had to do it again I'd mainline her to 6 or 8 branches. Very little side branching.

Hey man, just curious what kind of tent and intake out take are you using? Looking for a 3x3 tent and don't know where to start!! Any help would be appreciated

Glad to help. The Apollo tent from Amazon for $100 is what I have. It's pretty quality with metal corners and all of the bells and whistles... A few light leaks on the zippers, but nothing major. I like it a lot for the price. I couldn't see spending $400 on a Gorilla. As far as cheap tents go I DEFINITELY recommend it.

I don't use intake. It's generally not necessary for a tent as long as you have a decent vortex fan for outtake. I have a Hurricane 4" vortex fan. 180 CFM. It's an entry level fan, but it work great. Plenty of airflow to cool a 400w HPS.

I use a 4" Phresh filter that can attach either to the beginning or end of your vent plan.

I have a Luminaire air cooled hood. It's a really quality hood.

Stick with 6" fan and filter combos though because most cool tubes and hoods have a 6" flange.

If you get an aircooled hood make sure it will fit in your tent. With ducting attached I have to turn my hood diagonally in the tent. They take up a lot of space and you want to avoid 90 degree angles on your vents.

Don't forget a fan speed controller. This will is a must. They cost around $25.

This setup is budget, but it would get you through more than a couple grows..

Yea, the fan will pull air from the bottom vents as it blows air out. This creates negative pressure inside the tent which is good because no smells can leak out. You want the sides of the tent to suck in slightly. Or use lighter near one of the bottom vents and notice that the flame is sucked towards the vent.

Be aware that a 250 is really only good for 1 or two small plants.

Looks like a real nice yeild for a 400 watt grow.nice!
