New vac chamber and pump need help

Set up my chamber tested out the vac pressure and the meter was pinned. Put my oil in ther and turned it on again and now the meter doesn’t even break the half way point. Any ideas how to fix this? Will it still purge fine the way it is?

The rubber on the top of the gauge needs to be 'burped' to reset the gauge. I eventually drained out the silicone oil and left the plug out. Works perfectly.

Thanks for the reply! Do you mean just taking it out for a min and putting in back in? I tried that. Didn’t make any difference. How long should I leave it off

If the gauge doesn't reset to 'zero' when you remove rubber cap, it's defective and needs to be replaced to get an accurate reading.
