Any info on hermies?? Barneys Farm Feminised Violator Kush, G13 Haze. 5 plants total. 2 are showing seeds in the buds. 5th week into flower. Do I need to remove the herms? As the bud looks nice except for the occasional bean. Also, I'm using the full line of foxfarm's with occasional molasses. Do I need to flush 2 weeks prior to harvest?? Thanks.

The Ott lights only produce 1100 lumens per 2' bulb and I was told these weren't good for veggin' plants which flower or produce fruit. My plants are about 2 1/2 weeks from seed and only 2 1/2" to 3" tall. I feel they should be bigger at this point. Maybe I'm impatient but I think I need more light. Right now I have a total of 8800 lumens in a 3' x 4' area. I was told I should be at 55-60,000 lumens for this space. Also, my HPS can convert to MH but my question is can I use any MH or does it have to be specifically for conversion? Thank you for your help so far. I appreciate the info.

Hermies are usually caused by exposed to stress. Dont ripe out the hermies they are still producin bud arent they? Just think of it this way buds and u have some seeds for your next grow if you like em.Some strains during flowering near the end of the flowering they produce male sac on the top of the bud. This can be caused by stress . Flush about one week be4 harvest you can two weeks but you never know their could be a growth spurt all of a sudden.

When you are ready for your plants to bud(when they are good size for you ) you can now if you want too they seem grown in veg good enough long. Put the plants under 12/12 lighting in about a week or so the plant will show its sex. Look around the top axils. If you see little white hairs two usually comin out a pistil. It is a femal. If their are bunches of pollen sacs or nut lokin thing.= they are male. The females are the ones that produce the buds the male are for pollinization if you dont want seeds rip the males out. P.S. dont rip out a plant just b/c they dont show no signs give em time they will emerge.

oh yeah cageman you can trim some leaves if they are blockin the lights to the other bud sprouts. But dont trim too many cause leaves give the energy to the buds.

It kinda varies on how many fans you have and how hot the lights are.No what im sayin they can relate to how dry the soil is. I would say experiment what wever way that is best for u is the anser. Dont over or under water them. I can say that the last feeding should be a little be4 the dark photoperiod for the soil to dry out a little so doesnt over water and when it is dark the plant reacts better to the food b/c the sun wont burn the plants.

Metal halide light fixtures produce large amounts of blue spectrum energy and are best for vegetative (beginning) growth. The light produced looks similar to the 'cool white' fluorescent light found in schools, offices, stores, and other high traffic areas.

High pressure sodium light fixtures produce large amounts of red spectrum energy and are best for flowering (later) growth. The light produced looks .Iwould use a mh for veg and a hps for flowerin. How many plants do u have?

If the temp is the problem just get a small fan to circulate you dont have to get those expensive fans at a hydro shop just go to your local hardware shop and look aroud you will be surprised. Youll get a good circulating fan for cheap. And your lights should be ok. How many plants do you have. U can also get a thermometer for the temp aim for 70- 85 at most 85 cause any higher is too hot for the plant.

I already bought a couple of fans, one for each cabinet space. I have about seven lowryder autoflowering in aerogarden and one in dirt in the smaller cabinet and about six bag seed plants in the larger cabinet. Before I had the fan in with the bag seed plants, I put the 150 watt hps in there and the plants turned yellow and seemed to be burning, so I took it out and they got better. The bag seed plants are about 5 weeks old and I'm trying to bend them so they don't grow too tall, but I'll probably start them on a 12/12 soon. I just don't know if I should try the hps again or just go with some flouros that will run cooler. I'm leaning toward going for some high powered flouros, and I'm hoping that these will be as good as the hps.

Wait hps high pressure sodium is for flowering. For veg u should use mh metal hailide. Try moving the light(during flowering(hps)) away from the plants a little.

you accidently stumbled across the wrong light.

I think if I take the reflector off the hps, I might be able to suspend the light in a way that won't be too close to the plants. I don't know if I can do it.
This is the hps I have. Any guidance on removing the reflector?

Dont break the bulb lust look around something has to be holding the light. Screw, bolt or something. You have the right light for flowering if you want to continue vegatative stage get a mh light which is for veg. Good luck if you put them into flowerin 12/112 lights ( u prob know that already just makin sure. .....Wait shit you have auto flowring thats why they turned yellow see you have a type of plant theat flowers by itself and you had a flowerin ligh on it shit. ... Go get a mh light and throw it on them until they flower then put the hps on them. You can flower the bagseeed though.
