They just went to sleep for the night...

but they are getting very "droopy." I can't get pics on tonight, but tomorrow...

their roots are not near out of the baskets yet... the hydroton is wet on the bottom levels, and the roots are coming out some (but not near out of the baskets yet)

help? ideas?

the 150 HPS is about 7" away...

no spot(s)...

temp it around 78˚-82˚F

right now I have a 20 gallon pump for 12 gallons... should I get a stronger pump? If the roots aren't in the water yet, would this matter yet even??

Just wait a bit, you can water each of the cubes with a couple tablespoons of low fert water. Cover the tops of the rock wool cubes with something that will keep the light from getting to the RW. if you allow light you will have algae growing on top before you know it.

A little drooping is normally ok, once the roots hit the water you will see massive change in growth. size should double each week.

LEGGO, Lay off the eggos! They are going to be fine! Drama told you exactly what to do, u can water ur hydroton a couple times a day around the wool with a 1/2 cup of water till ur roots start hitting the water. The main objective was to get the wool dry.
Like advised earlier when ur roots start hitting the water u are going to experience a growth explosion and in no time will most likely have an uncontrollable jungle on ur hands! Just chill out bro. What u need to do is start another project and let ur babies grow bro.At least thats what i do lol only cuz im obsessed.Im actually picturing a bucket full of jessica albas for some reason.

Thanks guy! Sorry if i'm worrying to much, I had just never seen the leaves droop like that (so quickly!!).. but I sprayed the hydroton, and I hope I get the roots soon...

I also switched out my 20 gallon pump for a 60, so I get more oxygen.

pics later today :)

Day 28/13:
The good news: The new fourth seedling has a name! It wasn't fair that it had moved up to the DWC with no name... so Franky it is (tried to think of another role where guns 'AK-47' were invloved :)

The bad news:
Still have some wilting... Jane seemed to perk up a little, though she has some spots on her leaves... (little hard to tell on phone pic)

Mg defficiency??

Sway and Franky still have a lot of 'droop' and Fox has some...

Thanks for all the support guys when I was freaking out worried about them, I hope when y'all said "a little drooping is ok" this is what you thought they looked like... if not, help?

Hope the roots grow quickly, the tops on Jane's and Sway's RW cubes are very dry, while Franky's and Jane's are damn near close to being dry, I may mist them here, but thats it.

I'll put foil over the media here today to prevent algae growth...

Can't wait to see these biznatches hit the water and blow my mind lol

I think ur girl are going to be fine leggo, At this point u have new root structure growing in the hydroton right? Water ur hydroton a couple times a day with a 1/2 cup of water bro. Look in the tub u should have roots getting to the water by now?

Bro transition for my seedlings sometimes lasts up to a week but like we all said, when those roots start hitting the water and feeding, ur leaves are going start looking nice and plump just like angelinas lips and they will start getting nice and perky reaching for the lamp.

U are fine bro. Look under the lid?

I veg all my plants and seedlings under either 42 watt cfls or a small 100-175 watt m/h lamp. U will see better results in veg with blue spectrum.

Second, now that ur in the wool its too late. But next time u order or are at the dro sto, u need to get urself some jiffy peat spongue plugs. They are especially made for dwc and work better than wool in most hydro applications.! They come already ph'd so all u have to do is soak, and ring out a lil, drop ur tap root in the hole and it will find its way home. I had nothing but problems with wool bro. U wouldnt believe how easy and effective these plugs are seriously.

thanks man I'll look for those plugs next time

No roots in the water yet... I'm tempted to gently take a cube out so I could see how far they have gotten... I'll water the hydroton now

And I'll work On getting my CFLs need to get an adapter to plug my lghts in

Dont take the cube out bro! What u need to do is get completely smoked out so u dont even think about them today. They are building roots structure, so ur leaves are not going to be all perky.I guarantee that the roots are getting nice and plump pearly white right now!
