So..... I am a girl and have problems making purchases without thinking them through. Hence I now have a prefabricated grow closet.....

Really should have built, but now I am head first into growing and climbing my way out of a 3ftX2ftX20in. problem. I have 2 clones(Blue Dream) in 8x8 rockwool cubes, sitting in circular clear plastic runoff dishes.
I have a box of arm and hammer(not that it matters yet) and one of the lamest co2 boosters(i've seen yet). I have 2 CFLs both 850lumens, 14w=60w about 15in. away. with a fan and carbon filter hooked to the back. This particular model is called Grandma's secret garden 3. My temp is 76-78, pH is 5.8 and on a 16/8 light schedule. Will post pics as soon as I can get enough likes to start a journal. My step dad is n some pretty crumby health and this medication will be taking(hopefully) the financial burden off of me, him, and my younger brother who all medicate due to issues such as paralyzation, heart conditions, and bipolar. I don't think anyone lives forever. But with cannabis in our lives we have been able to live a bit happier and healthier. Hello grower community! I am eager to make your acquaintance! any likes or advice on how to improve yield or temps(if you did in fact google my growbox model) will be much apprecited.

Haha, no worries man. My mate who is 6'7 and 18stone of muscle just sent me a text with a load of kisses at the end. He promptly said not to worry about it, I was relieved as if he had become that way inclined there would be little I could do to stop him.

just a heads up.. don't post pictures of yourself here.. this isn't FACEBOOK.. lol.. it don't matter if your LEGAL or not..

say some scumbag u used to date sees this.. and comes and steals your entire harvest right before its done.. why? because he saw ur picture.. and then read your posts and found out exactly when ur harvest date is.. then he comes and takes it one day..

or someone else that doesn't know you. takes your picture off this site.. does a google search.. finds your facebook page.. and name .. and then they come rob you. or something..

just becareful.. weed sites aren't like facebook and twitter.. no1 smart will post pictures of themselves.. period.. no1 wants someone they know. that doesn't know they grow .. to know they grow.. lol..

but I hope you understand. im not trying to be a dick. im trying to help...

also.. if your really looking to support you and a few other people CFLS aren't going to cut it. unless u run a ton.. and at that point your better off grabbing a 250 or 400w bulb ballast combo.. honestly.

if u can afford it.. grab yourself a 250-600w setup. put it this way.. with cfls.. u can flower. but u aren't going to be able to support 2 people let alone 3..

so its either upgrade.. or u wont be getting very much bud out of that.. I had a grow with 12 50ish watt cfls cant remember exactly it was like 7 years ago.. I was using 600 watts and getting like 200 grams.. then I switched to a 400w hps.. and got 450 grams first run.. second run.. got 650 in a SOG. I mean the difference in density.. and quality was drastic.. I would really try to get some HPS/MH setups ballast and hood unless running vertical.. then just a ballast and a socket.

or.. u can get T5 HO for flower.. they work great for SOG.. and SCROG.. but .. a 250 or 400w hps ballast and hood will be about the same price.. so id go with a HPS .. and the price for a 400w and 1000w are pretty similar.. so .. if u can use a 4x4 room or closet to grow. the 1000w will help a lot on being able to keep 3-4 people smoking.

I agree with this advice. To support 2-3 people for 3+ months between cycles you will need at the very leat more wattage. A 250-400W HPS/MH would be nice however in a box that small you will have heat problems and end up need some high CFM fans. I'd go with a T5, plenty of light and no heat issues. I know from experience that a 400w light will roast your ladies in a small space without proper ventilation.

I use t5 HO for veg, and I am loving it. Temps stay at a perfect level, you can drop it down right onto your girls and no burn. Also, it gives you super tight node spacing. I haven't tried for flower, but I have a 400w hps for that

Also thanks for the stranger danger advice but i realize this, and do not have those pics anywhere else. Although the guy with the FACEBOOK comment did seem a bit condescending.
Also to anyone that can give me some solid advice on growing a vertical scrog?
I have a blu print, but would like to save myself the embarrassment and get some tips first. There doesn't seem to be much knowledge on it through google(not saying I have not used other resources) But i hear it is a growing trend and it would solve my space issues just delightfully until I get a proper sized closet built. (open to suggestions on that as well)

CFL's need to be much closer to grow with. No more than 1-3" above the plants. It will be a daily battle keeping plants from growing into CFL's and burning leaves. It can be done of you are dilligent. You are going to need allot more 2700k tenperature CFL's to flower. I suggest adding a couple 100 ACTUAL watt CFL's ($20 each on Amazon) to flower vigorously! They will add heat, but a 4" fan/carbon filter combo should handle that! Ona or chemicals only aid in masking the smell. A carbon filter is a must, as 1 plant alone stinks to high heaven when deep into flowering!

Eastcoast actually gave you some pretty decent advice.

I can't see you doing much better with a T-5 vs CFLs. If you want to support three people with meds, you'll need to get serious about your grow equipment.

Have you ever had a complete grow ? If not the CFL's are great to learn and get a grow under your belt but as everyone else has told you a HPS set-up will give greater yields...good luck and happy growing :-)

nope this is my first:) I think my options are enlarging my box on the top, and attaching hps,(hoping that larger space with current fan will even out) or.... get t5 bulbs and hope for the best on the space til I buil an ideal cab.

thank you so much for the rabbit's foot. will need it a bit.
hope to hear from you if I do have any issues(knocks on wood)
