NFTG. Nectar For The Gods

Slightly off topic but… do you guys prune and defoliate? Have you noticed a difference in bud quality or yield or even bud size?
Hell yeah I top and LST alot. Also I lollipop. I get huge yields doing so. Going to be a little different since I'm doing regular seeds I'm trying to figure out when the hell to do it all.

Most people defoliate about a week before flipping then I believe again around 3rd week of flower I think. I’ve done some consistent but light pruning through the first week of flower on a couple plants and doesnt seem to be slowing them down at all. But havent dug in to them too much yet. I topped around week 5 I think…lemme check. Edit: yeah it was around 35 days after popping the seeds that I topped. Then just wait until branches are long enough to start bending and tying.

For soil I want to make a mix. I have 2 bags of Coco loco, 1 bag of Cyco plain coco, a bag of perlite, and some one shot. Does this sound like a good mix. My first time using nectar I used Coco loco and had some issues with the pH dropping. The next one I used Coco loco and did a mix like this and added the one shot and I didn't have the same issue. I don't know if it was the one shot or maybe I did things different.

With coco gotta do like a pre charge with Gaia , get rid of the extra salt … I gotta look thru my notes I help a guy out years ago on this and had to prep …

The Coco says it's washed and buffered. It's made by cyco says it has nothing else in it. I'll probably do the two bags of Coco loco to the one bag of coco then probably a half a bag of perlite add someone shot and water with some Gaia or Zeus soil pH should be in the 6's

Ok.. with coco , if you keep doing run offs ppm will be low , ph high .. stop if your doing this ….
why your ppm/ ph would be off is over and under watered …. Soil little more for giving …. With coco I would doa soak in water see what ph it is and do a “wash” ph it , get pain range then charge it with correct ph .

Always ph your medium before use .. i do that with #4 …

Yeah man I would have bought number four but the pH of the bags at the place that I went was like eight point something I just didn't want to deal with it and just bought Coco loco

so With the last run if you had high ph then ph in the low 6s … if you had low ph then ph it to high 6s …

What do you mean by runoffs? Watering till there's runoff or doing a slurry test of the runoff?

run offs period… should be very little to none … you don’t want that even in soil… why flush out the goodness , remember the “flush” is not a true flush ..if anyone test a run off should be for a reference only but true #s are slurries…. What’s going on around the roots not what you did a few days ago with run off…

How often are you guys feeding around week 2 or 3? I know every grow and setup is different…but in soil 3 gallon fabric pots or similar. Curious how often you are feeding (also I’m only on the sample kit regimen).
