Nitrogen Deficiency???

I have to improve my vpd, watering and up my feedings 1 week on the next go around. I'm top dressing and realize plants were starving at certain timeframes. @Hollatchaboy @Week4@inCharge @PadawanWarrior @farmerfischer
I'm still learning what they take up and when, all I get (could be wrong) is during the stretch they use a lot of nitrogen and when they start to fatten up is when they use up the phosphorous. Not sure when this Potassium plays into the grow, maybe during the whole flowering stage. Heck the plant knows better what it needs and when better than I'll ever know, beauty of organics, the plant grabs from the soil what it needs when it needs it. If you have some kind of amendment there it seems like a microbial boost viia a compost tea speeds up the breakdown process. Maybe a little carbon, via sugars can speed up the process as well. This fermented fruit juice that I just got wind of might be the ticket for that quicker picker upper. An organic solution to feed the plant and the soil on the same feed. Like mentioned above already, make sure you have that base of dry amendments in place beforehand.

@xtsho Is the one to talk to for fermenting and using ferments.

I am far from an expert. Making them is easy. Using them effectively is another thing. Banana seems to be a popular thing these days. It can provide some nutrients but not in significant amounts. It's not going to cure a potassium deficiency. FPJ, JLF, or any of the KNF or JADAM supplements you can make using plant material need to be used in combination with a rich thriving organic soil full of biodiversity and a robust microbial population. They add an additional boost but are not going to feed the plant on their own. Using them with a bag of commercial soil like FFOF isn't going to replace the potassium in a good all around fertilizer.

I tried growing my outdoor plants this year with just straight cannabis JLF as the only feed and had some deficiency issues so I had to supplement with an organic all purpose fertilizer. One of the biggest issues of using homemade fertilizers and additives I've ran into is the lack of knowing exactly what's in it. To get a decent nutrient content analyzer you have to spend more money than I'm willing. So I've been flying blind without knowing the levels of different nutrients in the ferments.

Agreed. I would supplement with ferments, but not as a stand alone. I know a guy that uses soy aminos and completely soluble humics, along with ferments for veg and bloom, in peat. Seems to work really well for him.

In organic soil what are good PK boosters?

Many organic substances provide P and K. There are many that are much more knowledgeable than I am with organics. You should search the Organics subforum as there is plenty of information there.

Auto in soil. Using Dr Earth dry nutes. Top dressed 2 tbsp per gallon at day 21. That was a 50/50 of home grown and flower girl. Day 40 did 5tbsp of flower girl and one of home grown. It's Day 44. Is this a nitrogen deficiency. It started at the bottom now its creeping upward. New growth is perfect.

If it's nitrogen what is the best way to treat her? I give calmag every other watering.
What's your ph of your feed water?. Runoff ph, ppm?

Curious, I'm new to this as well. Why no run off with organic???
No salts to flush out in organics, and it gets a little deeper than just that. Long story short, synthetic bottle nutes, your feeding the plant. Organics....your feeding the soil. healthy soil, healthy plant. The soil feeds the plant for you. And that's how it's supposed to be, when you have a healthy balanced soil. Sounds easy, but, as you can see, not so easy if you don't understand the biology going on in the soil. If you don't understand that just one amendment being off can lockout the other amendments... almost makes me want to go back to synthetic sometimes, but when it works... you just water, and that's it.
