16th-19th. Rains briefly end, but return by 19th.
20th-23rd. Heavy rains, thunderstorms.
24th-27th. Heavy rains gradually subside, then turns somewhat cooler, drier.
28th-31st. A new round of unseasonably chilly air from Canada brings more relief farther south, then bout of heavy rain and thunderstorms.
September 2014
1st-3rd. Record low temperatures for Labor Day.
4th-7th. A shower or two initially, then clearing, unseasonably chilly.
8th-11th. Heavy showers push east.
12th-15th. Showers, thunderstorms Great Lakes extend south to Kentucky, then cooler weather.
16th-19th. Showery weather.
20th-23rd. Light showers.
24th-27th. Scattered rain showers. Cool temperatures, then moderating.
28th-30th. Rainy weather then an early freeze or frost.
October 2014
1st-3rd. Cold rains across the Great Lakes.
4th-7th. Many showers, few thunderstorms Great Lakes south to Kentucky.
8th-11th. Rains move east of Great Lakes; clear, cooler weather moves in from West.
12th-15th. Generally fair weather prevails.
