No significant Rez changes, perplexed

I have Big Bud monsters that are now 22 days into flower. They are in 5g DWC/drip combo system. These bitches were drinking 3-4 gallons of water every couple of days, but for some odd reason, the water level lately is hardly moving. It took 5 days for them to use 4 gallons.

Is this a normal slow-down, or am I missing something?

Plants look great and bud sites are stacking. No nute burn either. Just plain weird. Guess I shouldn't freak if they aren't showing any visible signs of stress.

Did the humidity change? A lower humidity will cause the plants to use excess water, where as a hifgr humidity will slow down there rate of aspiration.

My plants allways eat & drink alot more durring transition phase & early bud than they do once in heavy bud, allthough not as serious a slow down as you experienced.

How many ppm were the plants eating each day when they were drinking high volumes of food & water, how many ppm are they eating durring the slow down.

You should investigate further,my experience has told me in my grows that drastic changes in anything usualy point twords an upcomming problem.

I suspect your plants stopped eating or slowed way down.

Also did you start your day count as soon as the plants went 12/12 or did you allow a 10 to 14 day transition period ?

The reason i ask is this,my plants slow way down once in heavy bud which is right around 30 days into bud,but i allow a transition period as well,if you had a transition period your slow down may be normal, if not then at 22 days i think somethings off.

Well, the 22 days, now 23 is from start of 12/12. From the beginning, they were using nutes and water at a pretty consistent rate. Ppms rose over a couple of days as they should, etc. I am likely over-reacting, but just noticed a change in the rate. Last night I went ahead and dumped rez, vaccumed out all bucket residuals and reloaded with a fresh batch of nutes to set a control point.
After thinking about it last night, it could be because I temporarily went vertical with my bulb, about a week, because I was replacing the cooling flanges on my hood. I put bulb back in hood to horizontal as well. That could have been one cause for the change in the rate. Heading out of town for a couple of day, so I wanted to situate evrything for peace of mind.
We will see. But, Damn they sure look lovely!
