Naw I don't worry too much with it , I just know we ARE being watched, on the net. NO man power for it, just a govmnt comp siphering everything. Put a room of plants on here that could produce a couple hundred pounds and see how quick your door has a knock on it.

Your Honnor, I did this to 1) Save money, not make it. 2) stop pouring money into true "dopemans" hands( keeps them from taking the MJ $ and getting coke to make crack) 3) To stay out of jail , if I have ONE plant that NOONE knows about, I could have my pleasure quietly, with no risk.

Your advice is great. As a noob, I get your main message. Relax, learn, do the best you can, and step it up as you learn more. If you live and die with your first grow, you will be disappointed. Doesn't mean you can't give it your best effort though...

Nope, not in a legal state, I'm on a very small island, western most country in Europe where we have short men with pots of gold and rainbows, the natives drink stuff that looks like tar and we have the craic (google it) LOL.

I'm probably not paranoid enough , I use my own name, credit cards, address etc when ordering bits online and if you knew me you'd probably think I would be the last person you'd expect to be a 'smoker' lol. Pretty much stick to the rules, don't get myself in trouble, have a good relationship with the local constabulary and NO ONE will know I'm growing because it's just for me! They have much bigger fish to fry instead of coming after me and my (eventual) 2 - 3 plants.

Speaking of which, here is Celia 1 week and a day from the start of germinating, didn't expect things to develop so quickly so now I'm rushing to get all the kit in place !

wow I have been gone forever! The entire website has changed. Riddle, I am pleased to announce that I am now officially a grower, got a very nice little Light of Jah growing up in a mostly completed veg room. Pictures will be forthcoming at some point and I am thinking about starting a journal for my first grow. Left to do for the room is: 1) get some mylar or similar, walls are white, but still loosing light to cracks and less then perfectly white places. 2) put up 400w MH that I already have. got it already suspended but having trouble getting the cord out of the room to the ballast.

plant is currently being LST'ed under 4-23w CFL and seems very happy.

Heyas Riddle,

It's time for another harvest! This set were planted in small pots( 3.5 gallon) and were the ones that had the light fall on them, so they are a bit smaller then my others. They've also had spider mite problems off and on, which has also kept them smaller then they should have gotten even with all the other stuff, but they made it through to harvest and still came out a LOT better then my first grows harvest did. Sis is going to be over in the next half hour to start things off, so I should have some idea of yield later this evening.

P.S, I'm expanding my line up of strains next week. Will be bringing in a couple of train wrecks and a couple of head bands to see how they do, and if they pan out I'll just need to add one more strain so that i can rotate what I'm smoking every other week (don't know about anyone else, but I build up a tolerance to strains if i don't switch off).
I'm also seriously considering ordering some northern lights seeds, since I cant seem to find anyone reliable locally that has that strains clones available.

it will be awhile before I have clones of the northernlights since grow prolly won't start till july but I'm also gonna breed for seeds if ya don't get an order in at $15 a bean (for regular) I figure gettin some seeds is a must plus I want to start breedin my own strains

Hey riddle and others, how long does it generally take clones to root? Just took my first batch of clones today and was wondering what the first signs of success/failure are. Obviously if it starts growing new leaves then its a success but how soon can you generally tell?
I used clonex gel with rizotonic into rapid rooter plugs, if that makes a difference.

11 to 21 days, thanks. How do you go about inhibiting leaf growth besides lower levels of light?. I have mine off to the side on a heat mat under a dome, they are being lit by 23w cfls that are about 14 inches away from the closest one.

This is why you see folks cut the tips off the fan leaves on clones, you can also use shade, I use a sheet of printer paper lay it over the dome but you can also use pantyhose

This was at 9 days in an aero cloner. Next time I will let it go 14 days as 9 days was too early.

thanks guys, most helpful. I knew about cutting the leaf tips off and I did that when I took them.
I am a little nervious today because its the first hot day we have had since I started my grow, but so far seems okay. The attic is hot, like about 95, but the grow room built inside the attic is only about 75-80 and the plant seems perfectly happy and is growing FAST. didn't have a thermometer in there, I put one in and will check it later. all of the clones that I took are 100% wilted, so will probably have to do that over.

Bought Mel's revised deluxe from Barnes and noble right after I read UB mention he was his fave...brain still smoking and loving it...I wish I wouldn't have missed out on playing the game....but anyways I am hear reading it!!!!

Not a light meter I would buy, you want one that reads up to 10,000 lumens because you want to be able to adjust up to that

and just a helpful note when ever you get that accidental double post you can easily delete one by clicking the edit post button then go advanced the delete option is the first thing that comes up

My little Celia is thriving despite a small trauma a few days ago. Decided to transplant her and bury her stem as she was stretching and growing sideways (LSTing herself ), as I went to put her in her new pot her root ball broke!!

Been doing the finger in the soil thing for a few days, she was dry over an inch down and her pot was light so she's just had her first 'rain' an hour after waking up with some "Plagron roots" and 1/8 tsp of organic blackstrap molasses (we don't have Grandma's), I did try to find the unsulphured type and the fella in the shop assured me as it was organic it wouldn't have anything added so hope it's the right one. I don't think she's ready for nutes yet but figured the molasses wouldn't do any harm, I hope! Got PLENTY run off and she's back under the lights. Will check her later and I hope she'll be looking droopy .

Thanks Riddle, btw was just doing some googling on blackstrap molasses (since that's all I can get) and I found this:

"it contains significant amounts of vitamins and minerals. Blackstrap molasses is a source of calcium, magnesium, potassium, and iron" and "Horticultural: Molasses can be added to the soil of almost any plant to promote microbial activity. Blackstrap molasses is often used in horticulture as a flower blooming and fruiting enhancer, particularly in organic hydroponics."

the pm is actually posted in the thread and no the game is over, my post count went up like 1000 during that game kept me busy

Notice the spots on most of the fan leaves, and some of the "fingers" comming out of the buds are dying and brown and dry.....Some of the.. well alot of the buds are really thin( you can see the light through them, chalk that up to the lights? )

The hairs started to turn brown and everything was looking done , then it bursted with new growth on the tops......Started in Dec.....the 15th or 5th, can't remember, not only am I anxiouse to cut her up, I'm kind of needing to ( I need to clean out my house for some period due to other circumstances)

What Ive seen so far, most of em don't look like buds, more like a bunch of seed shaped fuzzy crystals,.....lights?
