Exactly what I've been using...thanks for that...I will toss it.Don't test the soil. Soil testers are useless. Know what is going in and test what is coming out if you're in this situation and don't listen to people on the internet diagnose your pictures until you are certain.
Thanks...Chloride level 117 ppm Chlorine 2.1ppm and chromium less than 10 ppbillion...are these ok? Will the let stand overnight method work?Like the previous poster said, pH tester $20 and you can't go wrong. Go get some pH down and up... don't use lime or lemon if you don't have to.
Also, it is the law in most states that municipal water supplies must provide info to consumer on what is found in their water. Most of them have web sites that will tell you everything including chlorine and chloramine levels. Not many use Chloramine in my area.
You can get some stuff from laguna and tetra pond koi pond companies that will instantly remove all chlorine (check the bottle for chloramine). It's safe for fish and plants and it's about the only thing that will remove chloramine if you have it in your tap supply. Chloramine will not evaporate from water like chlorine does so be careful. It is safe to use and it requires only a couple drops per 5gal treatment so a bottle lasts FOREVA.

Some rep? Will do...can you tell me what that means lolCool throw me some rep ... I'm only able to roll a joint![]()
I guess you didn't believe me when I suggested you check your water supplier back on page 1.Thanks...Chloride level 117 ppm Chlorine 2.1ppm and chromium less than 10 ppbillion...are these ok? Will the let stand overnight method work?

Just razzin ya man.No I believed you. Just new here work with me![]()
Ok..so based on all the responses....Im thinking mag deficiency due to PH. I will flush tomorrow after I let tap sit for 12 hours...6 gallon flush for 2 gallon pot using PH down if needed...last gallon to include 1/4 nutes....then wait it out? Sounds correct? I really appreciate all the help...Nice call Bakatare!
Dan - So probable diagnosis is high chloride count/pH and we're going to do better at pH testing and chlorine removal before we see recovery pics?
Btw hit those plants with some super thrive if you can... it will help them recover sooner. About $10-20 for a small bottle and last really long. You can use in soil and/or spray feeding as instructed on the bottle... and you really can't use too much... but don't try.
DO NOT ADD ANYTHING TO WATER YOU ARE FLUSHING WITH. you will make the problem much worse if you adjust the pH to much at one time. pH adjustment takes some time and patients. so just listen to what people are saying. I believe you were told to get pH + for future use. if your nute water is coming out to low, when you mix nutes again(after solving your problem) you MAY need to raise the pH slightly so that your plant has the proper uptake.
Actually, if it was me, I would flush with straight tap, nothing added, and add nothing until next time you water after letting it dry out good.Ok..so based on all the responses....Im thinking mag deficiency due to PH. Especially if you didn't mix in any lime when you potted, I think the 7.0 tap will be fine.My tap water is high Ph so I thought I would have to get PH down to make sure its in the proper range...I wont add anything including nutes...Lime not included or do I add it?
Dan, the flush is a standard precaution to take when you don't know but find out what your runoff is first and then you at least know nothing's getting locked out and it's probably something you're doing with nutes that is causing a def/tox. Depending on your nutes, mixing 7.0 water and nutes is a crap shoot if you're not checking the pH before it goes it. My girls are happy at 6.2 to 6.3 going in and 6.5 coming out using promix and an organic/synthetic nute system, some in 3 gals and some in 5 gals.
