Noob question lighting/venting

(for non auto flowering strains)
1.anyone know a good number of cfl bulbs for 5 plants. or how many bulbs are good per plant. also is higher wattage better, anyone recomend a wattage?
2. or whould one hps be good for 5 plants, and if so what watt.

one 400 watt HPS should do it for 5 plants. If your going to use cfl's i'd use atleast one 150watt cfl per plant. Your buds wont be near as dense with cfls as they would be with HPS. The more cfls the better, if you can hang them overtop and on the sides, thats even better.

thank you for the info. and nah im just gonna keep it. hey do you think 6 whould work under a 400w hps.

any opinions on this setup whould be great. not sure if im gonna do reg strain or auto strain. need help with info on ventilation/hooking it up /what to get/what cfm to go by!!!
