noob question

greetings! i am currently on my first grow and everything's going great, atm my setup is 2 cfl 1 4' florescent light and a halogen light for heat. i use veg nutes and already have my bloom nutes


anyway my question is how much longer should i stay in veg before i switch to 12/12 then currently on 18/6 and 2 weeks old today
as i said im new to this so any advice will help tanks in advance!

IMO Atleast 2-3 more weeks, but really depends on how big you want it to get.

yea i was thinks at least 3 weeks im growing in my closet and oping to have 2-3 females so i probably dont want them to big

if your using a halogen for heat then im assuming its cold were your at, if you are going to use energy to heat your grow room than it makes sense to get a hid bulb because you get better light and heat, if your in a tight space you can get a 150-250 watt high pressure sodium, or metal halide and you will get better bud and keep ur space warm, good luck

if that's all you've got for light, unless they're high actual wattage cfls, you'll never flower anything to any succes, the 4 foot florescent won't do you any good really the light is spread out over too large a distance.

JayDubb39963 and frmboi tell you true. Keep the CFL's and turn the 4 footer on end for sidelights when you get that HID.

Ok fella.... Veg time depends on strain. To tall and you got problems ie. Small under growth and burned tops. Once you know what it stretches like in flower you will have a better understanding of the strain. Most strains double to triple height in first 3 weeks in flower. You want a good root base formed in veg.before flowing. Flower time depends on strain. See the pattern. Most strains go 8-10 weeks. After flush you wait for ripening or tricome decay to be wine red. Soil veg is 3-5 weeks.dro veg time is 2-4 weeks. This its from rooted clone. Time could be longer or shorter depends on grower's needs. Seed veg time is 3 months or so. Hope this helps.
