Northern Lights Cabinet Grow..First Time

Right on man. I am very eclectic in my musical tastes as well. I go from old school slipknot, cannibal corpse etc all the way to Frank Sinatra and everything in between. Hell I even have a taste for old school rap before it went to shit. I remember back when Curtis Blow was the shit..lol.

Your flowering nutes should be much higher in P than anything else. Thats what helps your plant produce big buds. Other nutes dont hurt like N, it keeps the plants green but bud production is largely effected by P.

Good music transcends time. Thats the test. Crappy music is easily forgotten. My girl is popping more friggin pistols...I just may wait a few more days. if she is fatter yet again tomorrow..she will last till Thursday.

Peace all...I am so excited that this is closing down. Feel free to post any recommendations on drying and curing methods. I will be refreshing my memory but any input you give will be greatly appreciated.

This will be a difficult time for you Arch cutting Babygirl because she was a part of your life for 4 months. Just remember, you will think fondly of her while you are smoking her gift to you. You never really forget your 1st:) I can't wait for the smoke report, you are going to love Northern Lights according to Riddleme.
 
chief, it's funny you say that. when i chopped my first girl (purple diesel back in october), i thought it would be hard and once i snipped the first branch i was like, "oh, it's just a plant", lol. i guess it's different for different folks.

Well folks..after much deliberation and consideration I decided that it was time to harvest. One day shy of 8 weeks flowering. When I took a look at her this morning she had developed more amber tricks and lost her frosty look. Meaning she was getting dark and was already cloudy. There were few clear trichs left. Anyway I spent the morning chopping her up and manicuring some of the sweetest bud that I had ever smelled. She was so sticky! I have some very nice trim and air buds, that are already in the freezer bagged up and waiting for the hash making process..lol. Baby girl gave me a very nice yield. I am happy with how she turned out. I will let you all do the math..j/k...lol. She came out to 144.74 grams of manicured bud..wet of course. But she made some very tight dense buds. No air popcorn shit. I will most likely get approximately 1.5 z's dry. There is a distinct possibility that she may go 2 z's. Ill know more in a few days. She is sitting in the dark on a cookie rack drying at the moment. I have the ventilation fans running to keep some air moving.

Congratulations Arch man!!! That's a beautiful harvest. I love the 5th picture of row 2... the skeleton. Looks like the spokes of a bicycle wheel! Great stuff man, +rep next time I can.

PS make sure you don't ventilate too much, you want it to dry slowly, referably over the course of 4-5 days.
 
yeah, dry really slow. If you can make it about 70 degrees & 55-60% humidity it will do wonders.

it does look amazing. Are you revegging? that will be interesting :D looks like a buttload of trim and sugar leaves too, anything special planned for that?

bro, you should be very happy!! nice turn out man!! enjoy your harvest!! will be close to 2, just depends on how much you let it dry out. you do want it to be just a touch moist. very nice bro!!

You will get it soon enough..lol. I took some of the baby popcorns and have let them sit out and dry. They are pretty airy so they are drying fast. I am going to smoke them to have an initial taste..lol..sorry cant help it. This will also give me a baseline to work from.

Thanks bro! yeah she does looks like a bicycle wheel alright..lol. I have the buds in my cabinet its sitting around 68 degrees and 50% humidity.

Thanks gumball! My cabinet is sitting as described above so I should be good to go. I have plans to reveg her and see what comes of it. I am not sure if I will stick another seedling in here with her or not. As for the bag of trim, popcorn and sugar leaves...its in the freezer at the moment and will be used most likely to make bubble hash...yum.

Yeah CD man thanks! I am happy. The house smells like citrusy pine. I will keep them slightly moist and sticky like the stuff I have been buying all of these years..lol.

Thanks millyy..I will dry till its ready, slightly moist, and then cure it in mason jars for a few weeks maybe. That depends on if I can keep my ass out of those jars.

Thanks KmK! I plan on keeping track of the big bud with the small curved tail. It is easy to identify.

Well good luck on trying to keep out of it for a few weeks, i know that would be a real challenge to me :((
Also one question, would it matter if i cured in a plastic Tupperware thing that is airtight (i think)? I think a couple people told me it dindt matter but i can't remember..
