So, this is my first grow ever, and I'm grow-dumb. I'll post some pics, and hopefully I'm doing things right. Feel free to post suggestions/comments here, I can use all the help I can get!

This is after approx 4 weeks of 24hr continuous light from cool white CFLs.

What is wrong with this plant? Two of the others are looking the same way - I'm thinking nute burn, but I don't know :(

Male or female? Or can't tell yet?

starting to look female but it still needs time to develop. and that does indeed look like nute burn. flush them with plenty of water. Keep on growing.

Thanks Doc!

How are they looking? They're about a month in, I was going to wait for them to get 1.5/2 ft tall, and then switch to 12/12.. Good idea or no?

Holey! That's huge! Hopefully mine will get that big!!! 4 out of the 5 turned out well, the 5th is stunted, it's still growing, just very small...

I got my seeds from PeakSeeds. Do you have a journal as well? Haha, i'm jealous!

So a bunch more pictures - I'm going to keep this journal up to date, hopefully... And we'll all see how I do on my first time!

As of today - which I'll call WEEK 4 - These are the numbers:

Plant 1: 6"
Plant 2: 4.75"
Plant 3: 3.5"
Plant 4: 3"
Plant 5: 1.5"

I don't know about #5, should I keep on letting it grow - or just get rid of it and start over?

Do any of the above look female/male yet?

This is poor plant #5... Should I keep going with it, or just start over?

I am flowering some Northern Lights, you can look through my album at her grow, and flowering period.

Am looking at it now - hopefully I can get my plants that big!!

I've attached some pics - any of those look female (the first 5?), and what should I do with the last plant (the last 3 pictures), is it salvageable?

na, dont have a journal up, but i should've made one :( . the plant in the last 3 pics can definitely be saved..... what happened to make it grow that way anyways? to fix, you can simply stint it. shove a fairly stiff object into the soil about 1/2" from where the stem emerges from the soil and tie the stem off to that..... good luck and i'm interested to see how they turn out

Like above says, yeah it can be saved.
But I would cull it. You have better one's to take care of, matter of fact very nice looking they are.
The last one looks like a cutting from a lady in flower, toss it.

For some reason it didn't come out in the previous post, but i"ve numbered all the plants, and will refer to them by number now :)

as for heights, this is what we have now:

1: 6"
2: 4.75"
3: 3.5"
4: 3"
5: 1.5"

I'm trying to save #5 by staking it up, we will see how it does in a week.

A little update from today, so far these are the heights I've gotten.

1: 6.5"
2: 5.5"
3: 4"
4: 4"
5: 1.75"

I'm worried about the the stems - a couple of the plants are looking like that? is that normal?

those are your seed leaves, or cotyledons. it's completely normal for them to brown, shrivel up, and die. no worries there. looks like your getting tight nodes with not very much internodal space... very good job. they'll be nice and lush and full of budsites when you do flower..... keep it up :)

Thanks!
