Got family there, too. We're spread out all the way to montana and back.
i am whining about the rain at the moment ,but we go through heaps of bush fires ,and a lot a lit by fuckwits ,i live next to the bush and every summer i have fire bombers flying over and dropping shit loads of water ,it is a real concern ,and folk lose their lives ,and more lose property ,hope all goes well over there man take care.

FUCK! More..???? It's starting to burn my eyes, and it's been making my lungs get that feeling like when I was a kid and we had spent the day at the beach and I was always getting doofed under the waves. You know that feeling?
I mean, we need fire in certain areas, fire control has done a lot to really screw up the ecosystems, but.. a little break for fresh air would be nice. And it's so weird, because it's not a fire sky like what I'm used to, it's just.. it reminds me of movies like Soylent Green.

yeah man I'm in Sonoma county its awful.. I usually walk every night a few miles and enjoy the fresh air, maybe have a nice smoke while I do so, but I can't wit all this horrible air.

so i didnt even know about all those fires until i read this thread.. pretty sad that this site is where i get my news from.
speaking of smoke tho- i went to myrtle beach SC for the fourth this weekend and the beach looked like D-day. You could see smoke for miles in every direction at night! but im breathin fresh air here in NC.

Yes, and this morning the smoke is so bad that it woke me up, and has been burning my eyes. I feel a slight gritty feeling around my eyes and nose, I hope to hell it's not from any fire or that's a very bad sign. Dave just put a hose bib and hose set-up for me on the back deck, so at least I have water if it's needed.
