Not wasting growroom heat.

Hey guys, a year after I started growing it occured to me that I could use all this excess heat to my benefit. Especially in a MI winter.

So I have two exhaust set ups, on for summer and one for winter. In winter I filter and pump the air into the main room of the house we enjoy 70-74 degree heat.

I kick the heater on every once in a while to get cold spots eliminated.

Now I am not sure how this effects health, its just heat off the bulbs. I have always been off in the head so I can't tell if it has effected me. If anything I get extra oxygen when the cannabis matures.

I don't think it can be any worse than using a dusty furnace.

I know "what about spring a fall?". Well MI has two seasons, with the exception of this year, humid summer and artic winter.

At first I had it hooked up to the normal heat ducts but kept having to remove it when the light went off so we could use the furnace.

I got sick of that awful quick and strapped a reducer to the vent and it propells heat out at high force.

Any thoughts?

Man, I have heard of some off the grid ideas to get rid of excess heat from a grow, but yours takes the cake.
I love it.
I would just dump it into the room, and if you warm that one area, that in itself would reduce the load on the furnace.
Do you own your house?. If you do why not just let it run into your room (basement?). I also wouldn't worry about the smell that much until harvest, and then you will need a drying area anyway, and if you expect company, there you would need the charcoal (expensive shit, as it needs to be replaced every 6 months for optimum effect)
So, I would save the effort and set up some chairs by the tent and enjoy the heat.
As far as health goes, toking one will damage your lungs more, if it does at all.

Its a small trailer, I own it but not a proud owner lol. The heat is pumped into the front of the trailer and the growroom keeps the back warm. I have to open the front bedroom door to let heat in, but the room sees little use.

I live on a private drive packed with trailers, they all know I grow. I used to not use a filter but I just play it safe now.

A decent size crop will have dope smell out to the end of the driveway and you never know when a government official will show up to accuse you of something.

I exhaust heat from my flowering tent into my vegg room, and at lights out I use the warm air from the vegg room pulled into my tent.

With living in uk the weather is very awkward and unsteady temps that can cause hermies, with doing the above I keep a steady 28c lights on 20c lights out.

If there is any changes by 1 or 3 degrees,
but if I was to rely on pulling outside air it changes from 2 c to 10c and back down next three days later.

Recycling air is good lol

Using heat removed from your grow is safe, effective and frugal. Ducting is a direct approach that works fine.

I use a water cooling system with chillers and I do the same thing; the chiller sits in my office all winter and heats the incoming air. This air is then pulled through my home, keeping it warm all winter. In Colorado.

I threw my furnace away last November, which should tell you how will it works.

A heat pump simply formalizes the arrangement by removing heat from the cold circuit and placing it into a hot water circuit. I'm in the process of installing one now.

I figure between the added oxygen and air recycling and filtering I am breathing better air than most people.

Growing autos now so its 20hrs of free heating. Well not free but cheaper than running a furnace and growroom both.
