Nute off!! Advanced nutrrient's vs cutting edge vs fox farm.

I would like to recommend that you dis-continue the Mother earth tea and the H2

Mother earth tea is better if used alone as an organic nutrient.

Use MET in your organic dirt grow.

Mixing the chemicals of sensigrow with MET does not add any benefit.

The AN nute calculator is very decieving,
because we think it will be beneficial to have a full compliment of supplements
when in reality, the calculator is made to accommodate a wide variety of growing methods,
and some of the supplements are not designed to work in all method of hydro,
and some on the calculator are redundant,
like voodoo, tarantula, and pirahna, all do the same thing
and combining them is very redundant.

I have found no benefit from voodoo or Pirahna or tarantula in DWC

B-52 will affect the taste of your bud
and should be discontinued during flower.

One more suggestion

Always top off your rez with RO
before you adjust the pH.

Thank you for the tip. It does make some sense.
I am going to send AN rep I have been talking to A MSg and see what he say's.

I do add the RP prior to adjusting. My RO alwa's raises the PH.

I do have some sad new's to report.
The MK DWC has been sacrificed. Too much extra work.
And the biggest reason is she is a nute whore. The 5 gallon's a weak of nute's.
Is going to have me buying extra AN nute's. Just to finish the test's.
And I have spent enough on the garden recently. Can't justify spending that much money before the test is complete.
So I had to let her go.

Im doing a 5-gal bucket DWC-DNA-Lemon Skunk-grow with the Canna line with cannas bloom boost.just put in RW yesterday.

Pic update.

Pic's 1&2 are the 3 Erkle's.
Pic's 3&4 are the MK's.

from left to right. FF-CES-AN

Then starting with the Erkle are top and side shot's.

First six are the Erkle in order of FF-CES-AN
Second six is the MK in the same order.

What peep's

I am preparing to do a nute test. And would like some input, ideas or feedback.
So far this is the plan. I am going to use theses nutes.

1. Advanced nutrient's connossear 2.35+
2. Cutting edge solution's The full line up.
3. Foxfarm's 3 liquid's and 3 soluble's.

I already have most the nute's and the AN is on it's way.
I plan on running 2 plant's per nute co. 1 Erkle and 1 Master kush.
I am a bit undicided on what to use for a medium.
My normal growing style is to veg with 50\50 ocean forest with light warrior. Veg for six weak's with no added nute's untill flower.
Then I start my feeding schedule.
I do not think that is a ideal method to truly get good test result's from.
What do you Think? I do not want to go hydro. Maybe a slight hydro but still want to hand water.
The optoin I am liking best is using sunshine mix #4 and feeding all the way through.
Do you think straight sunshine mix or a mixture with perlite and vermiculite. Any tip's for using it also appreciated.
The other posible option is coco.
How do you prepare coco? I have seen some mentoin's of special prep method's for it. Any opinion's?

I am planning to have the test started within 2 weak's.
I will post a link to it in here.
Any and all cooments, tip's, trick's or ideas welcomed.

What? no Botonicare in the house? pretty much my favorite! i mix my Botonicare "grow" with Earth Juice and it workz AMAZING. Then i mix my Botonicare "Bloom" with Fox Farm "Big Bloom" and Everything is DIALED to my own perfection....

Do you have a thread?
If so post up a link in here.

Scribed !

I had planned to use foxfarm nutes in a soil grow . Thanks for all the details ! This is a very cool test.

Thanx for the visit.
I am real happy with how well the FF is keeping up. I have used them for year's and am glad to see them doing well.

neither, use botonicare.

I do plan on doing more test's.
I am realizing that I will be testing for along time.
Botanicare is definetly on the list.

I would like to see it if so.
If not feel free to post some pic's in here.

i like how the ces is doing in that first pic!!

It is early to say. But I am starting to think some of the old timer's on here are correct. And they are all pretty much the same thing's and it is more just a matter of dialing in whatever you are using.
But to me the flavor and the THC percentage test are gunna be the real deciding factor.

I give up this site F%%n suck's.
I tryed to post an update 2 time's just now.
And keep getting gateway error msg's.
I have been sick all weak and type slower then shit.
It has been crappy posting update's here lately.
I am saddened because this is my spot.
I love this site. But update's will have to wait.
i am going to lie down.

So today the 3 MK's went into flower.
Also with them went 2 Erkles.
The 2 Erkles have been vegging for 6 weak's in 2 gallon pot's.
They have been grown the same way I am running my perpetual cycle right now. Harvest 3 a weak.
Grown in FF ocean forest mixed 50\50 with light warrior.
No nute in veg. They will get nute's starting the first weak of flower.
I had 3 but had to get rid of some to stay in my legal #'s.
So one of them will get CES and the other AN.
With a feed,feed,water cycle.
I have plenty of erkles using the FF nute's to compare against.
Here are some pic's of the new 2 girl's to the test.
Plus a couple pic's of 1 of today's girl's.

What up peep's.
here is a update.
And some of my observatoin's.

The CES is bigger and thicker then FF or AN.
When the MK's got sick from too much moisture the AN bounced back quicker.
And was beating the CES for the first time.
But since then the CES has passed it up again.
And now leads in the MK and the Erkle.

I am slowing down on the feeding post's.
I think everyone can see I have been following each nute co feeding schedule.
I am keeping very detailed notebook's. And wiil still post them just less often.
Now that we are entering flower. Pic's I think should be twice a weak.

So here are a few.

Pic 1 is all 3 MK's. From left to right. CES-AN-Ff
Pic 2 is the AN master kush.
Pic 3 is FF master kush.
Pic 4 is the CES maser kush.

Pic 5 is the 2 Erkles in FF soil.
Pic 6 Erkle in FF soil. AN nute's starting in flower.
Pic 7 Erkle in FF soil. CES nutes in flower.

I smoked a little too heavy this morning and forgot to get pics of the Erkles going into flower tomorrow.
So I will post them tommorow.

Thank's doc.
There are a few thing's. I hesitate from showing to much favortism. So I can be fair till the end.
But IMO the CES is kicking every one else's booty. Atleast for veg growth.
Low priced and so easy to use and the stalk is almost twice as thick as both the other's.
Also I will most likely not use this sunshine mix#4 again. No matter what I do it just feel's too compact and funny to me.
I am going to try a 60\40 mix of perlite ad vermiculite. On a couple girl's real soon here.
But as far as on a perminent basis. I will probably stay with FF soil's.
No nute's through out veg. And the winner of the test for flower.

Thanx doc,
Funny thing is I had not looked as close to it.
Untill you blew it up. Thank you.

yeah boss!

wanted to throw in my 2cents since so far this experament has been going just how i called it :)..... the cutting edge will kick almost anyones ass in veg (3D organics and Humboldt are also good for veg) and even the first 4 weeks of flower, but because Cutting Edge doesnt approve of using "flower regulating hormones" like a lot of these other popular companies do, they seem to fall behind in the last 3 weeks where some other brands like H&G and AN ect. ect. are most likely using hormones in their high PK products that CES is lacking... the products with the hormones and higher pk, end up having the slightly larger buds/yield then CES.

this is just what my research, field tests, and observations have led me to believe.

im curious to see if you get the same results as i did... im almost certain AN uses hormones, but im not sure about fox farm (i dont think they do), and i know for a fact that CES does not use them... the company with the hormones may end up winning every time? (unless they all have hormones on your next field test)

i would concider using a medium high in coco and perlite next time, with little or no EC, but thats just me.

great job boss, i know its a lot of work already without worring about the post updates, so thanks for sharing all this info!

Update,update,update.

So I have noticed a few thing's recently.
All 3 MK's are cut's from the same mother.
But the CES-MK Will not top anymore. I know it has nothing to do with the nute's. Some times they just wont split off. I topped her 2 times and she would not split.
So the CES will have 3 main cola's.
The FF and AN will have six. I have noticed with my MK cut. That she yeild's almost the same with 3 or 6 top's.
I just prefer 6.LOL But 3 big one's it is.
Beside that they seem to be all very healthy.
Also I have decided for sure I do not like the sunshine mix #4. I had to add way too much perlite to get it to drain well. So I am thinking Coco for the next test.

Pic's 1,2 The 3 MK's start of W/2 flower. From left to right FF-CES-AN

Pic's 3,4 The Erkles start of W/1 flower. Same order as above.

Pic's 5,6 The Erkles in FF soil. Start W/2 flower.
From left to right CES-AN..

thanks for taking the time to do this comparison, it will certainly allow us all to know the true effects and differences between some of the well-hyped companies.
