whats up guys? :leaf: so i bought the jacks food on saturday when i got home i transplanted my clones into bigger pots and fed them 1/2 teaspoon of the all purpose. im also making it rain on these. i dont know if its the food or making it rain technique but these clones are getting bushy. ive only had them for about 2 weeks and they were toped before i got them. they have been fed twice.the leaves look very nice and green. growing strong

my watering schedule is jacks/rain/jacks/rain/etc. am i doing it rite?

remember this naked lady? the middle of the plant looks naked cuz the fan leaves died off before they were given to me. with a little TLC and some help from my fellow MJ Botanists these bitches are getting bushy. i already started lst.

this is her now after a bend + food and rain.

those tiny nodes in the center have turned into nice green branches.

the little branch at the bottom in the very 1st pic which had a dead leaf can already be taken as a clone.

Riddle I have been trying to read all your threads as I am a new to indoors soil grower. Thanks for saving me some money on nutes! However, I haven't found you say much about soil. So my question is do you have any info about cheap but good soils (similar to Jack's but soil)? Fox Farm is great but not available to me and seems overpriced and marketed for mj. Any tips for soil other than Miracle Grow that would be good for indoor in combination with Jacks? Thanks in advance!

I use FF Happy Frogs to start seedlings and to clone then switch to SunShine Mix#4 amended with Calcined Clay

for folks that can't get FF I reccommend Espoma which is available at Lowes and online

Hey RME, I am growing from seed for the first time....I'm using roots org soil I added NO nutes just water. Do I just add some rooting agents and benni's like with clones or do I add something else?

Just water would get you to harvest... It is best if your just starting out to use the nutes you got (CORRECTLY!) and you will be able to add in some more products as you learn. If I have learned ANYthing...its that Less is More!

I DO NOT reccommend FF OF it is their worst soil, if you insist on it you will need a cal/mag suppliment

will i need any additional supplements if i go with the happy frogs?

also,
would the dynamic duo (all purpose + bloom) be a better combination
or
orchid + bloom?

You could, but not as likely, and folks are using both combos to success so it is your choice

Not to be taken the wrong way, but I have noticed some people are very set in their ways and
think there is only one right way to do things. As a girl with a budget, I can see where Nutes that only cost $10.00
would be of interest to those of us growing strictly for personal use on a very limited
budget. Sh*t my grow closet is lined with foil instead of Mylar, to save a few bucks (which I used to buy 2 seeds).
In my personal attempt to provide adequate lighting and stay on budget, not to mention my complete confusion after
reading so much contradictory info about each type from all the different "factions", have an assortment of lighting types.
I won't say my "system" is the best, or even that it works at all, yet. I'm just starting, with only 2 seedlings( until I get all
the awesome seeds I bought) I have just started using my lights and I don't even have the main one yet! YES...I rushed
things just a bit! Okay, sorry this is getting long and I no longer remember what point I wanted to make. Maybe I'm slightly
more stoNed than I thought.

:leaf:Oh yeah, I was getting to the point after all! Sometimes, the less you know, the more open you are to experimentation. Every great discovery has started with experimenting( we all "discovered" pot by experimenting with it! Who's to say my mélange of lights won't turn out to be a primo combo! I have or will have when all is here:
Side Lights;
1- 125W CFL 6500K- for veg., to be switched out at Flowering with...
1- 125W CFL 2700K- for flowering/budding.
1- 225 Light LED blue/white/red/orange spectrum

OVERHEAD: Always on:
1- 250W HPS with standard base
1- 42W CFL 6500K
1- 42W CFL 2700K
OVERHEAD Switched out by stage:
1 PAR38 14W All Blue LED for Veg.
1 PAR38 14W All Red LED for Flower/Budding

All this for about $180.
