hi all,

i'm on my 2 week of flowering and growing in soil.

i know that on flowering we give a higher percentage of phosphorus (P) and potassium (K) and lower the nitrogen (N)! based on this 'rule' my question is...

if my leaves start yellowing (usually lack of N) how do i manage this situation?

or the bloom nutrients have the right amount of N that avoid the leafs of dying!

thanks in advance

What would you guys recommend as an additive for the growth phase, for a person in coco currently using only canna A+B (and a bit of superthrive). Just to get the EC up a bit higher.

A common mistake people make is they think the more P K the better and they like over load on the shit and it cuases a N lockout, so either lower PK or raise the N. If your nearing harvest and leaves start to yellow, its all good. If you have a good bloom fertilizer than you shouldnt even have to worry about it.

I would foliar spray with thrive alive w/B1 or you could use a foliar spray of supernatural Green-up(only foliar during lights out----will burn if done during light on) using a foliar spray will enable the plants to use the nitrogen right away---there are other product for foliar that work well too just make sure they have about 2% nitrogen(not to much more than that will be needed).

so Doc...tell me what you know about nature's nectar.... i wanna try it with earl's challenge..
A friend of mine has been using the stuff for a year or so----he loves it----couple of things about the nutes-----1. 100% organic and it's OMRI listed so you know your getting true organics---2. I like the fact that it's a component based nutrient(you mix your ratio's of n/p/k to your liking) Since you know what your doing this gives you the ability to "read" your plants and give them only what they need (if you only want to give them nitrogen-you can-----same goes for phos and pota.) 3. I like that it has been ,tested and proven on food crops. You should be able to grow some very nice and healthy plants in the challenge with those nutes----I would use organic for the challenge but I do it every day and I think something new will make it interesting.

more specifically. the label tells me not to adjust ph levels, and no injecting air into the res.....but yet it says add 100micron filter (to keep res looking like mineral based nute soup, not mandatory tho)

wtf is that about?

i know im not slow....and i know i aint Albert Einstein but damn....this shit aint rocket science....why does it go completely against what we are taught and used to?

thanks hom36rown and DR. VonDankenstine

just for the 'record' i'm using Advanced Nutrients the (High Yeld kit - Sensi Bloom A+B, BigBud and voodoo juice) nothing else, the N-P-K for the sensi bloom A+B is 5,8 - 4,6 - 8,8 plus the bigbud and voodoo juice

peace :peace:

My 2 cents (might not be worth that)-----check the Ph---if it needs adj----adjust it. Organic nutes have a way of getting chunky in hydro when there is an air-stone-----the same goes for the filter (the chunky shit will clog things up at drip level-----------. LB---------go with what you know---As I told you long ago----you know your shit so stop second guessing yourself bro...

Hey guys i just finished drying my first crop i had 1 plant, and i yielded 1.7 oz's bone dry very happy, I have a bunch of other plants almost going into flowering and i have a few questions regarding BAT GUANO
I want to do an experiment and give 1 flowering plant regulat nutes and 1 plant bat guano..
1) if ive been using regular nutes the whole time, can i switch during flowering to only some type of guano,,will it go all deficiant on me if i do so
2) How do i use bat guano (tea) in flowering exactly,,i work with ppms usually i have no clue
3)Can i use bat guano with all my other nutes im using,,im using quite a few nutes. give it a little guano tea to help with nute uptake maybe,,how do i know how much guano to add with the normal nutes
YOU GUYS ROCK!

I hear ya-----There's times I wish they would package all the nutes and additives in one shot(have you seen the AN pro line?----2 parts/that's it) nutrient lockout is the only problem holding them back.
ya i seen that
i used sensi 2part an its good stuff
havent tried sensi pro tho

its 2 bad they cant just mix it all up in one bottle at high conc and such
but if they do that it gets all nasty and stuff comes out of solution and wont go back and stuff

Ok...so would you guys suggest using bloodmeal tea as a cheap grow fertilizer??Will it work,or will it burn my plants crispy

Or should I use urine??I dont have the funds to order some decent fertilizer online,so I need a cheap makeshift fertilizer for newly established plants

Can you afford 10.00 dollars or less?

Thus far the only fertilizer mine are getting is worm castings, and I'll switch to bat guano for flowering. I watered them the other day with the teeniest bit of Superthrive but I can't really tell a difference.

Crazyoutlaw, do you have a farmer's market near you? That's where I get my worm castings, and I pay $2 a bag. A bag is enough to sprinkle about an inch on top of all 7 of my plants.

I can maybe egt manure and things like that, but is using it just as good as using some expensive fertilizer?
You could go with alaskan fish fert for veg and bloom-----you can get the stuff almost anywhere----you could use manure outdoors but would still have to add a few things at different stages of growth. If you can afford it---go with the alaskan.

Home depot and lowes carry nutes for cheap---all you would need is the Alaskan veg/Alaskan bloom---you could get a grow all the way thou with those.
