*OFFICIAL* RIU TRUCKER THREAD

I’m thinking this can be posted here.
A few days ago near Tehachapi I saw a large turbine blade being hauled by a specialist heavy truck.

I see those all the time being hauled around up in Saginaw, MI. I believe those blades are 210 feet long. The back of that trailer that the blade is on is steered remotely from a pilot car that's following the truck. You should see those guys going around a turn, it takes some skills and serious coordination with the pilot car driver

I'm taking another run out this weekend!

Leaving Saturday morning heading to Texarkana! Doing another relay for one of our OTR drivers that lives in Dallas, there's a few stops on the trailer for him all in Texas, now he can be home with family for New Years

I love doing these relay runs, they're so gravy and pay really good. Meet, switch trailers and I zip straight back to Michigan

Head west for Christmas truck parades

Tis the season: Trucks decked with Christmas lights, decoration

I'm at a Kroger distribution center right now in Romulus, MI getting unloaded, it's busy AF here today, another driver almost backed up into me and I had to blast the air horn. I got out and spotted for him helping him get into the dock, he was a rookie driver.

After Kroger I'm heading up to Rochester Mills Production Brewery to scoop some beer for Two Roots Brewery in San Diego, CA

I love picking up truckloads of beer

Oh yeah, I bought myself a Christmas present the other day, another knife lol

This knife is pretty sweet too, has a S30V steel tanto blade and it's an automatic!

SIG SAUER by Hogue knives, made in USA I believe Las Vegas, NV. This knife was made to be paired with the SIG SAUER P320 handgun. This is a nice knife, it snaps open with authority, I didn't expect that and I almost dropped it the first time I deployed the blade lol

Oh man I got some pics to post later. These folks at the Rochester Brewery were so awesome, they gave me a 4 pack of they're most expensive offering to take home

Only thing is my load is mostly non alcoholic IPA lol

I'm heading back to the yard now, I'm in a good mood, cruise is set and radio cranked. I'm ready for a drink once I get home

HAPPY HOLIDAYS everyone!

Ok guys, this is what they gifted me at Rochester Brewery

SOUL SNATCHER imperial Irish style red ale BOURBON BARREL AGED 13.6% alc/vol

So generous of them, I was super thankful.

One of the brewers there said they have another batch they're releasing in January 2021 that's been in the barrels for 2 years. He told me to let the cans get room temp and pour it in a glass and I'll really taste the bourbon and vanilla

Mmmmmmmmmmmmm lol

They let me take a bunch of pics inside the brewery and of some other stouts and ales they make, I'll post later when I get time. I have company at the house right now and we're going to try out this Soul Snatcher
