There are some that hold that belief.
The bible does state in the old testament that a woman shall not teach and to follow man.
The new testament and new covenant says otherwise as I just posted. There is no male and female all are one in Christ.
Romans 16:1 commended Phoebe, a woman, as a deacon of the church.
Acts 21:8-9 Phillip the evangelist had four unmarried daughters that prophesied.
Judges 4-5 speaks of Deborah, a prophet that was leading Israel at the time. Then speaks of the song of Deborah that spoke to people.
Acts 18 Priscilla and Aquila took Apollos and explained the way of god more accurately to him.
Galations 3:28 there is no male or female all are one in Christ.
It is actually a big debate in the Christian community. Women are not second class and equal in the eyes of god.
Those that say otherwise probably believe minorities are second class also.
I digress. I'm rambling. Just saying not all Christians believe that way.
