Ohio Growing

So this year, i decided to pay for some decent genetics with a partner. i got a bunch of stuff and a bunch of "free" seeds. we bought 6 grapefruit crush, 5 l.s.d., and 5 blueberry gum. also i have some stuff that im growing solo, 2 white siberians, 10 top skunk 44 and some free autos.

ive hit some snags as i dont have the space to start like 35-40 plants so all of the plants with my buddy were started at his house. he has never grown a plant of any kind before. hahaha so the ones he has are looking kinda sad.

but anyway, i decided to use a mix of peat, topsoil and composed manure with about 50% native soil with a bit of pearlite. ive got bone and blood meal and dr earths guano.

so i went out to my one personal spot and planted my 2 siberians, 2 auto haze, and 1 top skunk. the bags of peat and manure that i took out in advance were unusable right now. they turned into straight thick, sticky turdballs in the past 2 weeks and they wouldn't mix into the soil right

but its ok, this spot has pretty ok dirt

you know, i have no clue. lol i dont even know how i would find that out.

ive never worried about them before as ive never tried a grow like this. most i had was 3 and then i had to chop a male. hahaha

ive been cautious of my spot selection and hole digging though. no more than 6 or 7 holes spaced out in about acre plots

hahaha yeah i havnt seen them. most of the busts i hear about around here are trafficking busts. i would love to see some cops trudging through some of the brush i have at a couple of spots. lol

no, afraid not. im not sure if that was the peat or manure. it wasnt spaghum peat. it was next to it at the hardware store. i thought it was the same thing and i knew i wouldnt need a whole bale.. i was pretty bummed when i cut that open!
but the manure wont be a total waste. i guess ill top all of em with it when it dries some

ok ok. i made my own mix this year with 9- 40lb bags of compost, 1 compressed bail of sphagnum peat, and 2 cubic feet of perlite. before my order of perlite arrived i mixed the compost and peat. at first the manure would just break into smaller and smaller peat covered shit balls but after working it around a ton it become a great rich soil. maybe ill throw a pic up later tonight when i start my thread.
your soil doesnt look bad at all though. it should be great

yeah, thats what was happening to me. i think it may have to do with the different brands/quality of manures. ive used 3 brands and they were all different. one was really, really nice, fine and dark and worked into the soil great. the second was pretty ok, but had sticks and shit in it and not quite as dark. then this one...
ill have to check your thread when its up though

i have very little patience. when i planted last i didnt give any time for the forest to get used to my holes.

so i went out to my first spot on monday to look for critter or storm damage and man am i glad i did.

animals had dug in 3 of my plants and then the rain eroded all of the dug dirt. i sort of freaked out for a minute, then i realized that i had two piles of manure that was unusable when i planted! im not one of the "everything happens for a reason" type people, but damn. so i refilled the holes and the ladies are looking better than ever.

hopefully ill get out and plant some more that my partner, umm..., attempted to veg out.

a few pics of the spot too... its a good one, the crease runs east to west

thanks man. they were probably laying out for a couple days, i was kinda surprised that they were doing so well. guess it was the rain

the last few days have been kicking my ass with this heat. i have 15 regular plants out plus 7 autos. 8 more to go! the autos are doing their thing and should be done soon.

lost one and had a critter top one for me, but all and all things are pretty ok.
some little bastards are munching well on the one with the leaf pic though, anyone have an idea something safe to use?
