Maybe you guys should sit down for a history lesson about gold and silver, gold/silver notes, and then the famed and shitty Fed Reserve Dollar. People used gold coins years and years ago in the United States, 1 gold coin weighed an ounce and was valued at $20 dollars. Today the same ounce costs many many times more. Anyway, rich people got tired of being robbed or just because a sack of gold coins was heavy, the banks decided to receive their gold on deposit and give them certificates that declared a value that could be redeemed in real gold. This was used as real currency. Well, as time goed by, mister fat cock sucker banker guy discovered that people were using the gold notes more and more without withdrawing any or little gold, so the banks started to produce more notes than gold, this is the cause of inflation. Fast forward to the assrape of our great country the USA when the federal reserve was founded. The notes printed by the reserve were NOT redeemable in gold, effectively causing the american people to fall into debt as a nation. Later, there was Kennedy, a real nice man who wanted to be president. As soon as he won office, he made a presidential order for the U.S. Treasury to print 450 billion dollars, which would effectively take USA out of debt from the evil and private Federal Reserve. Pay attention to any 2 dollar bills from 1963 and note that they are inscribed at the top with US TREASURY, not FED RESERVE DOUCHE BANK. Promptly, satan's little helpers put lead in Kennedy's brain, splattering it all over his presidential vehicle and thus marking the end of good times. Immediately when Kennedy was dead and another man took office in his place, the presidential order of printing 450 billion to cancel america's debt had been retracted. Pretty shitty , right guys? Now all those bills of 100 dollars are just what... Paper to wipe a richman's ass with? yes. Try going back to school to learn this, and you will be DENIED a proper education in the truth. I agree that food is more important than metal, but if you have spare cash that you can't devote to improving your food production facilities, gold and silver are decent places to start putting your money.

people will need something to trade with. yes they will trade food for food. but then there well i need something that people will trade for supplies like clothes rope fishing tackle knifes guns bullets. i dont understand allot of it but it still makes sense to trade hunks of silver and gold for weapons tools clothes supplies something to get them booze and flour someone around you will want it. hey its good to bribe future pigs. why its a status symbol ill never know

But to clarify wouldn't that gold and or silver lose much of its value with alot less people in the world.

Silver is useless without production. Which would halt if shit went to hell. So i guess gold would still be valuable would you really want a piece of metal instead of the bag of potatoes when shit goes to hell.
