Public sector unions perhaps, as the government has control over them as well. Otherwise, please name a few.

mostly public sector....my 25 years in the California Dept of Corrections we had a no-strike clause.

Usually the no-strike/no-lockout clauses are for when a collective bargaining agreement is in effect. Once the CBA expires and you are in negotiations, that clause is out the window.

This is one of the reasons state workers get so many days off. The state would go years and years without a pay raise and then the state would give us another day off in lieu of pay. We already had enough time off, we needed more pay but we couldn't strike....You live and died each election depending on which party won governor.

I don't have that problem, and I work for the state. I received an 11% raise this year, and get 17 paid holidays. I have close to 6 months of sick leave banked and 40 days of vacation time.

Yeah I got a good COLA retirement raise this year.....a lot of those days off came in lieu of pay.

I got both step and cola.
If anything came in lieu of pay it's my medical benefits, which I wish I could just cash out. My employer has paid over $250,000 in medical benefits for my family just in the past 10-years alone. I'd rather get that cash, and pay for my own medical expenses.

This is from my most recent pay stub. The first number is how much they pay monthly for my medical benefits, the 2nd number is year to date. I've had to pay over $4k this year for a specialist on top of that, because they are out of network. Just gimme the cash.
