DIY from Digikey - plenty of recipes that nearly anyone can follow to meet their needs.

I worked for a company that had a bad counterfeit / fraud issue.
We ordered from baba and aliexpress as well as ebay domestically.

A couple of the baba products were found to be real product, but factory rejects
One tool was completely authentic at about 1/10th US Retail - I still have it in my toolbox.
--- one tool snapped in half after regular service force was applied!

I might buy parts from Ali - but I would trust my wiring skills over a potential counterfeit or factory reject fixture.

There was an American pediatrician who was interviewed on camera who claimed he visited Thailand 3-4 times per year for the "culture". Fucking sick man. Sick. Then good 'ol Larry Nassar comes along and turns the whole industry on it's head. Sicko's everywhere thought, "I'm gonna be a female sports doctor! Fuck thailand." What a world what a world :)

HLG does make fine products. Although all the components are still sourced from overseas, so ultimately you still are funding the origins of those products. Drivers, diodes, heatsinks, wire, etc., all from China, Vietnam, Thailand and I know at the end of the day HLG doesn’t mind cutting those checks. It’s how they are able to make a buck off of us. In this day and age the majority of goods in the US are imported. Foods, clothes, electronics, you name it. The sad part is, it just isn’t profitable to manufacture in the US, and even if something is “made in the USA” it was merely assembled here using foreign parts.

Damn... Free country here last I checked and again I say people have the right to support whatever company they choose to. We are growing weed here not trying to solve the world's problems Good on you for ripping the CC companies off, I'm sure that starsucks tastes all the better for it. This is community that grows weed cause we enjoy it. With the amount of hate you share on this forum from time to time I got to wonder why you do it?? You should back off the starsucks and smoke more of the weed you grow , try to chill out before you have a heart attack. It's weed. :peace:

To be clear I ripped off walmart. Pay attention. And technically I didn't rip them off. They failed to deliver my order in the time frame agreed upon at the time of purchase. They claimed they were issuing a replacement. It never showed up. I filed my dispute and ordered the product from amazon since walmart couldn't do their fucking job. My funds were subsequently refunded upon filing my dispute, and eventually the ghost shipment of starbucks miraculously arrived around 7 days late. I don't share hate. I just cut through the bullshit. Shall I cup your balls while I get to the fucking point? I don't like watching people get ripped off. What I hate even more than that is watching people dump praise on a company that overcharges for their products. It might give a newbie the wrong idea about how much it costs to get into growing. $1k for a single light to cover a 5'x5'? Please.
