Organic better flavor?

You're totally missing the point. This doesn't surprise me though. I didn't throw in words like "trademark" and "LLC" to sound sophisticated there.

Alaska Magic doesn't buy anything from anywhere because they no longer exist. The only apparent similarities are that (A) they operated out of Washington State and (B) dealt in forest compost products. Gas has nothing to do with forest humus. As you can see by the initial TM registration according to the pages I linked to, all of these companies not only have different contact details but they all seem to have begun operating/selling humus at different times. They all appear to be private entities with no connection (at least none you seem to be able to prove), other than that they all deal in forest compost products.

Otherwise what you are implying is that there couldn't possibly even be such a thing as real Alaskan Forest Humus, period. That's a ridiculous assertion if you ask me. Even using your horrible gas analogy... obviously there is still relatively unadulterated gasoline available.

At any rate, if you have no way of proving what it is you're saying about this Alaskan humus supply chain. I see a lot of "AFAIKs" and straw men. I am especially not inclined to believe you, given that I already know you've misunderstood/interpreted other sources of information as previously illustrated in this thread.

The last thing I want to say is that, for one thing, sphagnum peat actually is a very common ingredient in composting/vermiculture. It is a brown material, so it can be blended with alfalfa meal and other green or high nitrogen materials to make compost. Furthermore, I know what sphagnum peat is, and what it looks like by itself. What is inside the bag of Ancient Forest I have is not sphagnum peat moss.

Now THIS is pure bullshit. I usually agree with Penn but this is almost laughably stupid. You people sitting here saying how you know GMOs aren't dangerous because you watched a 10 minute video are morons.

First off, almost study ever conducted by scientists on the effects of GMOs on rats have concluded that they cause tumors, infertility, effects on the immune system, the growth of organs etc.

And the claim of without GMOs we don't have enough food to feed the population is ridiculous. The main problem is how to get the food to everyone on the planet.

While of course that doesn't mean the exact same things will happen to humans, this research shows that it is FAR too early to release GMOs UNLABELED into the market. Ath the very least a decade of unbiased research into the effects of GMOs on humans needs to be conducted.

The farming industry has been almost completely taken over by Monsanto. The FDA either ignores claims of the dangers of genetically modified food or dismisses them off hand. Is it also a sheer coincidence that people with high positions in the FDA are currently or formerly employed by Monsanto. Conflict of interest much?

TL:DR just watch this documentary. It's not the be all end all of the GMO debate and you should look into it more yourself but this documentary is far more informative and scientifically based than this piece of shit video.

This is a very important subject and I suggest everyone research it.

I am much more concerned about GMOs in food now that I have a child to be concerned for. Corn is in virtually everything. I saw on the news the other day that there is a push now to mandate labeling for GMO products, which is good.

Even the frozen corn at the supermarket I wonder if it came from a GMO crop, despite that the bag says "All Natural" which one would think implies it is not GMO.

Yea the labeling system is pretty fucked up here in the states. Everything from "omri", "organic"and even "fair trade"lost its true meaning.

thibnk the only true way to go around these type of things is by community based marketing. Farmers markets for example
