Yes. Pumice stone is great for aeration. Also creates nice little spots for microbial life. Think space=oxygen in the soil.

Yep mix pine needles/cones/twigs, in the soil after cooling. Keep any eye on it in the oven! Its wood in the oven lol Keep any eye on it! Add to your soil and let it sit for a few days. a week. Prepare all this so you can let your soil sit for a week if possible.
Is this also good to use like pumice rock ?

Nope. add it in 30mins before you water. Why? Warm water will change EC give you time to double check ph, ppm/ec

lol its okay. PH it before you water. After everything is in there. and youre ready to water. Ph it real fast, ppm it, ec it. Just making sure your levels are good. I would bring it down to a 7ph. Your soil im sure is very acidic as it is. ph it at 7

I go by feel and looks lol So idk a particular ratio. However, Just make sure to have at least 3-4 handfuls of pumice in each 5gal

I bought both, but the lava is way heavier. I'm in CO in the US so I just ordered mine from Build a Soil. My hydro store had big chunks of red lava rock, but I didn't feel like trying to smash it up.
Thank you. I was trying to think of that website where I got mine too :) build a soil is great! have some sick deals too

Use pumice. Like he said, lava rock is heavier and could sink when watered.
That will be for future grows I have so much perlite and gotta work thorough it Guna do a few out doors grows soon and indoor. I can grow 4 plants but I have a few buddy’s that live close by and I can use there yards. Lol. What do u think if I went 50/50 perlite to fox farm soil. Will that create a similar affect as the pumice or lava rocks ?

I wouldn't. Perlite sucks, when you water these plants a lot from start to finish and even more when in flower. Imo, perlite does nothing in small quantities when secluded in 5 gal pots

Ya, you can get $5 off through this link. I don't know if it still works if you already have an account with them though.

Start bartering your perlite haha. Any friends have wood stoves for ashes, wood chips, . Any honey bee collectors nearby? Visit farms/bee farms/ in your area. Youd be surprised what they have on hand lol
