Plant earlt matureing plants. Thats what i would do. Then again i think plants will freeze when the temps get to 27 degrees. So dnt listen to me.

what do you like to use for early flowering plants? I live in Northern New England, so I would love to give some early bloomers/finishers a try. Tried Early misty this year, but it's still not done! Pure Power Plant flowered early too, but bud rot made me pull about 1 or 2 wks early. Both handled the frost very well however.

I live in southern michigan and grew purple by ceres seeds. It would have finished by oct 9th-15th but I had to pull early because the wind broke the main stem. I would recommend strain for our area. It is made for Hollands weather, which is somewhat similar to ours. I also want to try Hollands Hope, it seems to be a very durable strain that would do good in MI.

firelane,
Yes, I looked at Holland Hope as well; should have given it a shot.
Our weather here is like that in Holland too.
I dont care as much about frost as rain. Lots of rain = bud rot!
That friggin wind! It tipped over my big PPP (grow bags) into the bushes . Thats where the bud rot started. It also bent my Durban Poision over hard. She's staked up now. Next year Im going to put bricks on top of the grow bag.
Thanks for the info

I see Marijuana-seeds.nl has Moutain Mist. Supposed to be cold and mold resistant, and ready early! Also perfect for our shitty, rainy, cold humid climate.

Every night here in Calif foothills, we hit the low 30s and often high 20s around 4 (we have three thermometers at different places in the garden). But the sun is on them at around 8.

We did cover them during the last cold front, but last night, the outside was warmer than inside our ghetto tent.

The ladies are all purple, except for one strain and they are not blinking with these temps.

They're ok unless the day temps and sun don't respond high. Don't go cuttin' shit unless shit is cold all day with no sun and 20s at night.
