finally made it back to your thread. I just recently started some seed for a soil grow, and my babies did the same thing as yours. I switched over to a recycling DWC and corrected the problem. It is most likely the pH of the soil is not right. pH will cause you more problems quicker than nutes out of sync. You can use litmus pater from the pet store. water real well, and take a sample of the last little bit of water that drains from your pot. Check the pH of this sample for a good indication of your soil's gener pH. You could get a General Hydroponics pH test kit, comes with pH up and down included in the kit. pH your water that you water your little ones with before watering. Then you can use the pH up or down to get the water about pH 6.5 after letting it sit to get the chlorine out. Your tap water's pH may be way off, like mine is. Outta the faucet it is pH 9 here. Is what my initial problem was. In my recirc-DWC I had to get everything pH just right before putting the little ones in and once they got in the tubs they straightened up in about 2 days. I am hopeing this is what your issue is, because its an easy fix. g'Luck with them beasties.
