Thanks aznchrissd. I just started using the Big Bloom. This is my first grow, so I don't have a frame of reference from which to gauge results. Yep, all 10 week old kittens are cute, but I still think my girl is the cutest ;)

dababydroman, thanks for checking out my grow. I haven't used molasses, but am thinking about getting some.

Nice. Looks like you done well with her, so just keep it simple and don't drown her with love this close to the finish line.

Thanks guitarabuser. Yeah, I'm going a bit nuts since it's my first plant. Good advice.

Anyone have any thoughts about how far into the flowering process one can use Neem oil? I've read a couple of threads about it, but the responses are all over the place and never fully address this question. Since harvest is still a long ways off I think I'm going to give it a dose this evening.

Go light with the neem. Dilute a little more than suggested and spray her when its cool or it can damage the leaves. Pay attention to the underside of the leaves.

I know what you mean. Every time I hit up the local grow shop I cringe at the thought of how much money I could pour on my plants. Im trying to stay totally organic.. as in CHEAP!

Yeah, I was surprised that I had to cough up $15.00 for the fox farm bloom nutes. It could've been a hell of a lot more, tho. I don't mind paying the money that's needed to give me the results I want. But I'd rather not pay for overpriced b.s. that has no basis in science - other than what everyone already knows about.

The young, white, skinny, sullen, indifferent, most likely stoned young gentleman at the hydro store told me that I didn't need the tiger bloom. (They were out of it at the time anyway). I'm hoping he knows what he's talking about. I think it's fine. If I see a N deficiency, I can always give it a boost of fish emulsion.

Here's some pics from the day after doing the feeding. And of my other girl trying to stay cool on the hardwood.
LOL... yeah I got a couple pusses hogging up my seating for naps and acting as dust mops on the tile. Two males aged 16 years and a one year old. the younger has taken to sniffing the fumes and yowling all over the house..... I think we are related!LMAO:eyesmoke:

Updated pics. I watered with just plain water yesterday. I think it needed a break. It appears I inadvertently spilled some nutes on the leaves a few days ago. Most of the flowering is starting lower on the plant. I'm guessing that's normal. Still fighting thrips, so I'll give it another shot of Neem tonight.

Quick update with pics. I haven't been doing much with it other than watch leaves yellow and fall off. Still just giving it the Big Bloom - nothing else. More flowers and pistils showing.

Anyone know if I'm at the point where I don't need to worry about the yellowing/dying leaves? Or, perhaps give it a little bit of fish emulsion? Most of the major flowering is lower in the plant.

So, I just figured out how I burnt those leaves. It wasn't from spilling nutes. If it was, it would have dripped all the way down the plant, not just in that one spot.

I had the grill (right next to it) cranked up, cooking shit. I lift the lid with my left hand, and hold it right into my plant to the left of me while I start flipping potato slices. My grill gets up to 400 degrees. I realized it immediately this time, but was apparently too stoned to realize it last time. Mystery solved.

I went ahead and gave it a dose of fish emulsion with the big bloom today. Figured one last dose of N would get it through flowering. Hopefully I didn't overdo it.

I also picked up some Grandma's Molasses. I might start putting a tablespoon per gallon with each watering soon.

Thanks Heft! I've been lurking on your journal since I've subscribed to it. Amazing photos and one of the cleanest, healthiest grows I've seen on here. I check it out to get my dose of bud porn. (Not sure which of my cats you're referring to, but yep, they're all pretty cool).

Unhallowed, thanks for checking it out and your kind words. It's fascinating watching this thing transform with every passing week, particularly when I've never seen it happen before. And, I really love big titties.:hump:

Not too much to report. More buds developing, and filling in now. Started adding the molasses the last watering.

I just germ'd a Lowryder feminized seed and will drop it in some soil today. Figured I'd try a little experiment with another plant this late in the season. Kinda like doing a 12/12 from seed - outdoors.

Thanks Heft. Yep, the fluffy girl in that pic is about 10, 11 years old. My only other one is the younger short haired boy.

I'm thinking it's possible the yellowing leaves are normal at this stage, and for this particular plant. I could be wrong. But I did give it a final dose of N, and am now adding a bit of molasses with every feeding which has a small amount of N in it as well. Still fighting Thrips. I'm tempted to do another Neem oil treatment. It's all natural, and is biodegradable and basically goes away by exposure to sun and wind. The label says you can use it up to the day before harvesting, but I'm sure they didn't MJ in mind when they came up with that.

Thanks Smokin1, glad you like my plant! I've never trimmed a plant before, but I should probably start studying the harvesting/curing/trimming sections now.

I picked up some FoxFarms Ocean Forest potting soil today and some GrowBig. I'll plant my feminized Easy Ryder seed in that tomorrow. Oh, I need to get some Perlite to mix in with it first.

Cheers!
