Paradise Seed - Strain: Belladonna

The sugars are what add the flavors naturally. The buds are not going to smell like the container of sweet, whether it be berry or the citrus. It will increase the amount of aroma but wont change how it smells. If the plant smells and tastes like lemons, it will have more of a lemony smell and taste even if you use the berry. I have used both on the same strains and the taste was the exact same. It doesn't "impart" a flavor or smell, it allows the plants to make the flavors and smell naturally. If the stuff you put in the water actually put flavor into the buds, think about how terrible organic buds would taste.

I don't think putting a beer in the res would do anything but breed problems. The Flora Nectar is only like $15 for a quart, and you only use like 10ml per gallon. This means that a quart will make like 94gallons at full strength and over 180 at half strength. This is going to cost you more on an initial investment, but in the long run it would be cheaper than adding a beer and you know it wont cause any problems.

i just started some seeds in a wet paper towel should that be goog?
There's a button that says new topic. If you hit that and type that same thing you will get all the answers you can handle.

This is someones grow log and doesn't need you asking questions about how to germ seeds.

But to answer your question, yes that is fine.

Going to chop tonight. Trics have a 50% cloudy to clear ratio, so its a little early, but hope by the time there dry, they will be atleast 75% cloudy. I really need some medicine right now. Super stressed, not sleeping good, working tons of hours, and need to stop drinking when I come home!

Chop 'em down. Get a couple of small buds and place them on your ballast or light. Next thing you know you got a crispy kritter that will get you stoned as Hell. The whole point of this endeavor is to make weed when you need it, and it sounds like you need it. p.s. I drink beer every night too.

Harvest looks good man but in pic #5 what is that dark gray patch in the middle of the bud? It almost looks like rot :-(:?: I could be wrong but that little spot looks a little suspicious my friend. Other than that she looks very sticky!

Yea, there was a small patch of mold there and cut all those buds in that area and threw them out... But the good thing is that it did not spread to anywhere else on the plant. I had cut a fan leaf there 1 week ago and it must had lots of drainage that created it.

Note to self, never cut fan leaves off after 2 weeks of flowering!

What was the weight on that plant? I can't read the scale b/c of glare.
1 oz 7/8th's! Its wet weight, but still nice to know.

Well I'm glad to hear that it was only that small area. It would have been horrible to have a big moldy harvest. Congrats buddy and let us know how the drying and curing goes

Will do Tom. I have some hanging right not, some in a draw drying, and a few test ones in the toaster oven for tonight on super low heat. I can't wait any longer!

Another method for quick-dry that I have "perfected" goes like this:

Nuke the bud for 20 seconds on high. Then take the bud out of the microwave and put it in the freezer until it is solid (usually 1-2 minutes). Repeat once, or more times for bigger buds.

It'll be harsh as all hell, but it works.

I was the same way when I cut my last plant down. A suggestion to help speed up drying is to cup up whatever buds your trying to dry first and then put them in an envelope on top of your ballast. If you spread the weed out in an even layer in the envelope and leave the envelope open you should have nice dry weed in 25-30 minutes. It didn't mess up potency or taste too bad either. Anyway I hope ya enjoy your freshly picked belladonna bro. I wish I had some of that to be toking on right now haha

Wow, Feeling really good about now! Its a very nice High that is for sure. Music sounded killer, conversations between the wife and I are more Intelligent and in depth. Lots of energy. Not a couch lock high at all!

The wife did not smoke, but told me it just hit her that she was feeling high, and I was shocked! Just from the 2nh hand in the air in the kitchen! Must be good shit, wait till its fully cured and smelly!

Looks good man.

Just a tip for your next harvest. Chop the plant from the root system while it is in the dark. During the dark period the plants store nutes, starches, etc in their roots to use the following day. If you allow the plants to be in the light, they end up pulling these back into the buds and cause a harsher smoke and require a much longer cure.

Your buds won't be "bad" if you leave them connected to the roots, but they will be better tasting and smoother burning if you chop during the "night".

Isn't there a pic of a plant all trimmed up still in its pot? The plant needs to be removed from the root system in the dark not just trimmed when it was its dark period.
