So about a week ago I flushed my plants that are in gallon sized containers. they are a month into flowering currently. A few weeks back the leaves started clawing and truning brown and dying. I flushed and tested the runoff of the water coming out and the PH was around 4.5!! So i figured they were getting some pretty bad salt build up because I was not PH-ing my solution before i fed. I recently checked the PH and it was low again!! What should I do. I am growing in soil, I use tap water and then now PH to 6.5 whenever I feed and I cant keep my plants soil to stay at 6.5. Should I just Flush again untill the runoff water is 6.5 exactly? Any tips, anyone who can give some input I would greatly apreciate it!!!

No, stop flushing give em a break. Let them dry out completely. A low PH wont kill them as fast as overwatering will. I would PH my next batch of water to 7.5-8 and use that for a few waterings until a runoff of 6 is achieved. Im not a fan of flushing, unless u have an airy media Im against it. This isnt an emergency. Just be patient and get ur PH stable in the next week.

EDIT!
Sorry, I didnt see it was a week since u flushed and u are half way in flower. When the medium is completely dry flush with 7.0PH water until a runoff of 6.5 is achieved. Make sure u flush with nutes in the flushing soluting.

Thanks for your reply, to get it straight I need to flush with 7.0 water but flush with nutes? I use the foxfarm diet. What nutes should I use while I flush? WHen i flushed last time it took alot of water! just to get it to 6.0. So i just need to flush until my plants runoff is 6.5. Im wondering why I am even getting my soil ph at 5.0. I have been Phing my solution everytime I feed and feeding every other watering. They plants are big enough now that they need to be watered nearly once a day or every other day. Am I feeding too much and thats why the soil Ph is low?

Putting some garden lime into your soil before planting will help keep the P.H of the soil stable.Crush the lime into fine powder & mix about x1 5ml spoon of lime for every 6' pots worth of soil.To cure the problem you have at the moment.Mix 5ml spoon of garden lime per gallon of water & flush with this & remember to give your plants a flush with a mild fertilizer mix (about 1/8 strength) afterwards.Hope this helps

Yes the PH will be lower if the root zone has excess nutes. I say flush with nutes because if u dont u will have a soaked pot that wont dry out for a week and it will have no food in it for the plant. The reason that I reccomend flushing with a half point or whole point higher than where u want to get is because once u achieve the same PH in ur soil as the water u are feeding with, the nutes are gone. If u flush with 7ph and get to 6.5 there are still nutes left in the soil when u get to 6.5. Its a bit technical, but ask away if u think I can help..
Flushing is a good thing in some cases, but most people use it as a way to not learn what the real problem is...

so your saying the nutes in the soil are base and lower the ph a bit? also why would it matter if there were no nutes in the soil if he were about to feed them with a flush with mild fertilizer? wouldnt it be easier to control if you just cleared the soil completely, so the runoff was the same as your water, then just ph the water and water/nute mixture from then on? i dont get why he should raise the ph a little more then he wants wouldnt that only make the problem worse? excuse me im a n00b to the ph issue...ive grown many a crop without ever even thinking about it but just recently it became an issue with my BB plants
