So what are some decent PH meters for soil ??
I have a POS from lowes that is highly inaccurate out the box

Soil pH meters are never accurate. Their only selling point is convienience.
buy a regular pH meter. An EC/tds meter would make your arsenal complete.

I agree with the guys here soil testers r like said here shit, if anyone use,s them they're grow isn't gonna be a good one, pens and ec pans are best but if your short on cash theres test tub ph tests which are good but coz they work on a colour chart they good to give u a solid reading but with the pens you can get right to the point instead of within the colour chart but i used one and it went well. I only got a pen as i got enough money to pick one up or i would have stuck with the tube, also theres test strips which again are really good. Hope this helps good luck scunk

all soil testers suck. probe testers don't cost much, they are used to test your nutrient solution and runoff water.
i have this one.
How would I use this in the ground , no pots just amended earth ??

So the test tube's and strips are fairly accurate ??
I have actually ben useing a test tube to check the probe type meter , but I think my solution must be bad it's old
As long as the tube type are fairly accurate I can deal with that

Yea from what ive read about the test tube tests plus ive used mine all my last grow without no probs so yes i rate them, as you can see from the picture the colour chart go up in 5's, just aim for the yellow which is 6.5.

Color indicators are not too great, but are widely used by many.
Depends on what you are willing to spend and how much time you have to putz around with the accuracy of the readings.
