So-far I have yet to se this brought up so I ask upon you all this simple question. I know you can buy ph up and down but would adding a tablet like this be good for the plants? It says it stabalizes the water and such.

Aquarium Pharmaceuticals Proper pH

Use when setting up aquarium or changing water. The 6.5 is for tetras, discus, and angels. The 7.0 is for community fish. The 7.5 is for goldfish, mollies and guppies. The 8.2 is for Saltwater, brackish, and African cichlid aquariums.

Its a long link so for those who find this link broken u can go to petsmarts page and search for ph or something similar to find this.

[EDIT]
Actually I think its a powder now that I read it, but still, would this be a reasonable or good method of correcting ph and stabalizing water for marijuana growing.

Just another question but, lets assume I go ahead and get this product. For an indoor grow theres a range my ph can be in. In this case what is the suggested ph stabalizer from petsmart then? My main question is in regards to cloriene. (however it's spelt). Or am I missreading it and it rids water of that..? Anyone else tried this yet.?

Some people have told me this should work very well and much easier then ph testing all the time. No one is replying with anything AT ALL.. people here must be to stoned to hit post.. haha Im not that far gone but hopefully soon I too forget how to work a simple computer and see the space people in there rocketship.

Did you ever try it? I bought some aquarium shit to remove chloramine and the 2nd ingredient is aloe vera, kind of scared to use it.

I got this description off ebay. Pay attn to the last paragraph.

Aquarium Pharmaceuticals Proper pH 6.5 240g

Size: 240g
pH Level: 6.5

Automatically sets & stabilizes pH at 6.5. Removes chlorine & detoxifies heavy metals. Great for Tetras, Discus, Angels. Contains Aloe Vera and electrolytes to reduce fish stress. Use when setting up an aquarium or changing water.

Purpose and Benefits:

Proper pH 6.5 is a pH adjuster and stabilizer (buffer) for freshwater aquariums. Proper pH 6.5 neutralizes chlorine, detoxifies heavy metals, and adds electrolytes to the aquarium. The product also contains Aloe Vera, a proven natural stress reducer and healing agent for tropical fish.

Proper pH 6.5 is formulated to lock the pH at 6.5. Buffers compensate for fluctuations in pH, automatically adjusting the pH to the predetermined level. Proper pH 6.5 will lower or raise the pH until 6.5 is reached. pH will not rebound to the original level. It may require more than one dose to adjust the pH. This is because carbonates (KH) in the water work against pH adjustment.

Directions for Use:

Add entire contents of one Proper pH packet for every 10 gallons (40 L) of aquarium water or, using the enclosed measuring spoon, add one scoop of Proper pH for every 10 gallons (40 L) of aquarium water. Repeat treatment when a pH test indicates a change of more than 0.2 pH units away from the desired pH level.

Compatibility:

Proper pH 6.5 is for freshwater aquariums only. Proper pH 6.5 is a phosphate buffer and should not be used with live aquatic plants. If the aquarium water has a General hardness (GH) level above 200 ppm a haze can form in the water. This haze is the precipitation of some of the mineral salts. It is non-toxic and will be filtered out by most aquarium filters. This haze can be avoided by first softening aquarium water with Aquarium Pharmaceuticals Water Softener Pillow. Use the Water Softener Pillow to reduce water hardness, thus preventing mineral haze and permitting easy pH adjustments to 6.5. Use Aquarium Pharmaceuticals GH Test Kit to measure water hardness.
