Pickle's First Grow (Sorta)

Here's some from last night will update info later, just a quick picture update.

Well as far as my reading went hermie pollen on another female will create fem seeds, but hard to tell how traits will be passed among the various mystery seeds I planted. I'm really hopeing it was only a few spots and I don't end up with some seedy nugs. If its only a few I will try to pick them out and do some experimenting once the first round is harvested. I already have a few upgrades in mind.

Mobile Scrog...
I'm trying to work something up that will be easy to move around with the pot/bucket I have a couple ideas but nothing really solid yet. I have an idea with some pvc and just planting the base in the soil, which brings me to another idea, pin hole'n the pvc for air to pass into the dirt, dont' know if its a good or bad idea, just a thought at the moment. Size, moveabitly all fall into play we'll see when i get a few extra bucks.

Height for next flowering...
I will not let them get as big as they did this time around for sure, but I have yet to decide on a optimal height for what i have. I dont' want 5-7 ft tree's this time thankfully that screen i used worked for what I had to do with it, got some ideas from the scrog experience as well.

ScROG
I'm trying to design a room around a scrog setup or half at least, access is the biggest thing, I have learned how limited access, and space can really be a pain in the ass.

I still am irritated by the seeding that happened it dont' look horrible, but it's definatly not what I wanted, but we'll see what happens from the outcome, definatly going to try to sprout a few, and see what happens.

Things are looking good week 7 starts on wenesday. I'm pretty anxious to get these chopped down so I can re-build my room, and hopefully add some more lights.

Here's a few quick updated photo's they are looking very good I think for a first run. I'll have some personal thoughts and observations later today to post.

Well I chopped mutant down last night, it was probably a little early but it was looking really amber and half cloudy so down she went, it also made it a lot easier to clean and move the lights over the ScROG and the one remaining plant not under the screen here's some shots.

Mutant's net wet weight is 216 grams, with a 75% loss thats 54 grams roughly dry, not bad for a first run with some bag seed.

The other hermie plant I took down about a week or so ago gave me a dry weight of 17 grams.

Also my seeds arrived, I'll be starting those soon, after I build the mother room later this week.

Well the only one left is the sativa dominate one on the screen. I'm not happy with the way mutant turned out, kinda some flarf, and seeded way more than I expected from the hermie pollen mishap. I probably will be killing off whatever clones I took. So far the mutant and others I cut down gave me a dry net weight of around 3.75oz. Its not all dry yet. I can't complain really some good information came from this for sure. The citrus smelling one seems to be the best of the bunch for sure. I can see why bagseed is very undesireable, there is hit and miss. I had high hopes being the female/male ratio was so high, but in the end 2-3 out of 7 I flowered were good smoke.

Next time around 1000w HPS. Guessing my current grow not knowing the weight of the last plant under the screen, I would say I avg'd about .34g/watt with my 400HPS, adding another oz from the last plant. Not great but not horrible for first run with some bagseed, an options would be appreciated.

Well I cut down the last plant today. I kinda skimped on the pictures of the end of most of the others being I was without my camera, I took this on my phone.

Hermie In the begining = 14 Grams Dry
Citrus = 42 Grams Dry
Mutant = 44 Grams Dry
Egg smelling one that smelled like juciyfruit gum dry = 22 Grams Dry
Stinky Foot = 220.5 Grams Wet

This is also the one that was bent under a screen to keep it down I'll try to snap a picture to show how the stalk was under the screen. I'll will try ScROG again gave alot more full buds over the plant even with the hap hazard way I did it. I could def tell the difference when I was trimming it, very few wispy bottom looking buds. Shoulda snapped more pictures. Next time. I'm Ending this journal and will be starting a new one with my new strains, I will be keeping the citrus smelling one around as it was by far the best smoke so far, I did take clones of it while it was flowering, and they now have taken back to veg growth, so I'll be able to play with that a little.
