Pizza experiment = success!

I had a craving for good pizza, but I didn't feel like spending the money on good pizza so I did what every resourceful stoner does... I got creative.

I whipped up a quick pizza dough, but I didn't have any red sauce so I decided to make white pizza. Here's the result.

Edit: Here's what's on the pizza

An alfredo style parmesan bechamel sauce, with slices of fresh mozzarella, and a shredded 3 cheese packaged cheese (I didn't have any other fresh cheese left), red pepper flakes, left over braised chicken breast cut into decent size chunks, bacon, sauteed onion, and spinach. mmmm

looks good. I am doing the same tonight, but it was my plan all day. I also have some fresh pesto.. so I may do a yin-yang pesto-red sauce combo..

I love me some pesto on pizza! I didn't have any tomatoes or tomato paste or else I would have made a red sauce. Post up pics when you're done.

I asked for a bread machine for my birthday or christmas, I hope I get it. Make pizza making so much easier. Also fresh bread kicks ass.

Looks good, I'd hit it

I totally forgot to add garlic to my ingredient list. I didn't do a spread though, I just sauteed some garlic to put in my sauce. I was going to do a garlic spread across the crust but I didn't have enough. I <3 garlic.

mmmm. I still have some potatoes from the garden. I have some more that should be ready soon. I need to start more pepper, tomato, and peanut plants.

Yeah I'm not a huge fan of tomatoes either but my girl loves them. I like putting them on my sandwiches (especially my veggie sandwiches!). I've just been trying to grow more organic vegetables this year. I'm hoping by next year I have the hang of it enough that all our vegetables will be from our garden. I loved growing the peanuts and the potatoes (first time I'd grown either). How do you do your potatoes? I used the trashcan method and it worked out fantastic. Ended up with almost 20lbs between two trash cans. The "soil" here sucks, it's mostly clay and sand so we can't just plant stuff in the ground.
