Plans for the End Of The World?

Apparently, the world is going to end on Dec. 21.
I was talking to a good friend and the topic rolled around to which days we had scheduled off work.
Just before Christmas in her schedule, she said "Oh, I took Dec. 21 off. If the world IS going to end, I don't want to be at work. I'd rather be home with my kitties."
Well, that got me thinking.
Really, I don't want to be doing something like working on the last day. I would rather be comfortably stoned and drunk with friends enjoying the experience.
Am I wrong here?

I think I'd rather be clear for the experience or atleast just weed because I have a feeling if something does happen it's going to be for a profoundly better future than what we currently have... that's my hope anyways.

Sad that it would take the end of the world to make you live your life the way you want to. You should be doing that now. Find your happiness.

One word ZOMBIES!!!!!!!! LOL I myself will not go into what I believe about this topic because it could stir everyone up and I'm not looking for that. On the other hand I think you should do what you think would be best for you and if high and drunk is the way then so be it!!!!

ummm... that's NOT what he's saying. 420 isn't in the habit of forcing his religious views onto anyone else. He's just saying live your life like it's your last day on earth. Smoke a bowl. Chill. We're all friends here. (except in the political section. you're on your own there) :p

This end of the world prediction was created from the fact researchers couldn't find any material or calendars or time tables created by the Mayans that showed dates past this 2012 date, well these same researchers some years ago have found Mayan materials including a lunar table and numbered intervals corresponding to a key calender and planetary chart that includes dates almost 7,000 years past 2012. Before that discovery researchers from UC Santa Barbra found Mayan calenders going 50-100 years past 2012.

So tell your friend her and her cats will be just fine, at least from this.

I don't think this response was at all justified by the post. As Carne pointed out, 420God's message had nothing to do with religion and everything to do with living well. cn
