Plant does not branch

Howdy all. I planted a seed in mid-july i found in some store bought herb.
It was Chem de la Chem. The cross is unknown. The plant does not branch.
Wish i planted it earlier. Probably have a 8 foot beanstalk. It's about 4 feet now.
I grow in a greenhouse and i'm limited to 12 plants by law so this new strain
wouldn't be the most productive approach.
Still, i like how the flowers smell. They look stoney and are still maturing.
Anyone have experience with this? If i pinched it, would it start branching more or just be two stalks?
I would have to regenerate it to keep the strain. I'll take a couple pics.
Thank you!1.jpg2.jpg3.jpg

I think and I'm not a professional but topping them will encourage secondary growth
