Plant Lighting Hydroponics.com REVIEW

Holy shit. These people are very nice they answer on the first 2 rings and I talked to the same guy almost every time. They have very cheap prices, I got a 4x8x7 sun hut tent for 208.99. That's almost 150.00 less than anyone else.

BUT they are VERY disorganized and some of the products they offer (like the $7 propagation dome I got) IS A PLASTIC PIECE OF SHIT THAT DOESN'T FIT TOGETHER, IT IS LITERALLY USELESS.

I got a 6 inch suntube and got the extra wings that come with it and they forgot to put some brackets in there that hold the wings on. Then when i called they had no idea what bracket i was talking about, they are supposedly still searching WHEN THERE IS A PICTURE OF THE DAMN THING ON THE FUCKING BOX.

The fans I ordered were apparently on back order but I didn't receive any notices and only found out when NOTHING SHOWED UP AT MY HOUSE FOR OVER A WEEK AND I CALLED. Then "Oh we are so sorry we can ship everything else in your order for you if you would like! you will receive a tracking order by the end of the business day WE PROMISE and we don't know when the fans will be in"

I didn't receive anything and had to call back the next day and they finally did it.

Then to top it all of they sent 6 GOD DAMN TRACKING ORDERS. They packaged everything separately! Not only that but they were all scheduled to deliver on separate days AND ANYONE ON THIS SITE KNOWS THAT HAVING THE FEDEX GUY SHOW UP AT YOUR HOUSE WITH BIG BOXES 6 DAYS IN A ROW IS A VERY BAD THING.

Sadly that is just my update, the fans still haven't gotten here, they still haven't found the fucking brackets and I still have 3 boxes that are supposed to show up. I AM VERY CONCERED ABOUT NEIGHBORS.

I'm super pissed i will never order from them again AND I WARN ANYONE ELSE ON THIS SITE WHO VALUES SECRECY.

GOD FUCKING DAMNIT THE GUY ON THE PHONE TOLD ME THEY HAVE DISCRETE SHIPPING AND THEY FUCKING SENT ME MY CARBON FILTER IN THE MANUFACTURES BOX!!!!! IT HAD A HUGE PICTURE AND SAID "CARBON FILTER" laskdjfl;kasjdflkjas;ldfjk;alskdjf AND HAD THE SHIPPING INFORMATION DUCT TAPED TO THE FUCKING BOX!!!!

the fedex guy thought it was a water filter so i told him im doing underwater criminology. WHEW anyone think I should bail on my grow? I have already spent over $1500 the only other thing I have to buy is some ducting. and my fans are on the way so im gonna have to talk to the fedex guy again, holy shit....... ADVICE PLEASE


p.s. check out my grow and you will see that I have 5 urban poisons and 5 aurora indicas that are all feminized and all doing really well, and I dont want to lose them.

That is surprising everything I have ever bought from them was stealth and on time. Maybe it was just bad luck or bad karma. They will continue to be my only hydroponic supplier.

You got lucky. Plantlighting Hydroponics does not ship discretely as a rule. You have to request it specifically and only in stock items not shipping from the manufacturer will be shipped discretely. If it's coming from the manufacturer it will arrive in a box that tells your neighbors you grow. And when you talk to a manager at plantlighting hydro about the issue they cover their asses and try to make it seem like you're being paranoid stating, "The majority of our customers have nothing to worry about." Bullshit! I have placed my last order with plantlighting hydroponics. If you are a hydro store reading this, ship 100% discrete in plain brown boxes with a discrete return address/shipping label or the marijuana growing community (90%+ of your business) will never order from you again!

Just wanted to leave some feedback for these guys. I ordered from Plantlighting Hydroponics last week and got 4 lights delivered really fast and none of the 16 lightbulbs were broken. I couldn't believe it. I haven't bought lights online before, but from what I've read online I just assumed I was going to have to send some broken ones back. Amazingly well packaged shipment. So yea, I'd definitely do business with these guys again.

After reading these horrible reviews im really bummed, I had everything i need picked out from this place. but seeing as how they ship seperate and are so disorganized theres no fucking way ill order from here now. I dont want my ona blocks carbon filter fans lights and fertz and nutrients showing up seperate and on sperate days of the week lol. Fuck this place, please anybody have any other suggestions for a cheap but reliable online hydro store for the us?

I'll beat any advertised price and ship discretly. Just p.m for anything you need

I have ordered from plantlightinghydroponics. Got a sunblaze 48 (4' 8-tube) T5, along with extra bulbs and didn't have any problems. They were quick to call to verify the additional lights as well as to verify that turning the manufacturers box inside out would be fine for discrete shipping. Got everything quickly. The shipping was a little more than other sites, but the light/bulbs were a good deal and together was still a little less than other sites. The shipping cost was stated up front, so can't really complain about it, but worth calculating shipping if you are trying to find the best deal between two sites.

What arrived was as discrete as it could be, and arrived quickly.

So there's another experience to figure into the pot

Edit: I also suggest that people who are worried about it put some thought into cover stories before hand. Do you really think the guy believed you were doing underwater criminology? That seems pretty far fetched... In fact, unless asked, there's no reason you should say what it's for at all. Most people who order things don't feel they need to tell the delivery guy what it is for, even when it's not obvious, so just telling them can make it look like it's an excuse. If asked, go mundane, and more normal. For instance the number of people buying filters for underwater criminology is probably slim to nill, however the number of people who buy filters to keep the wife from complaining when you have everyone over to smoke cigars and play poker is quite common. I personally know three people who don't grow but run beefy vent fans with filters, two in poker rooms, another in a home theater, all three are there to remove cigarette and cigar smoke.
Aquariums are another common item that uses similar equipment to growing, and is a great excuse to get grow equip. These things are all things you can work into normal conversations without it being obvious you are baiting them, and are mundane enough that they aren't going to make people more interested in what you're doing

I seriously think to much is made of a filter being sent your house. Who gives a shit. You think the FBI is out there scoping your house because you just ordered a ballast?

so why would he want to spend 100's on parts that a shop cant even put in plain box or cover with black plastic parcel wrap
the fact its not standard there to do that is mad if there real goal is to please the customers and keep them safe at the same time

plantlighting hydroponics sucks. had a pump for a lil over a month ago broke down 3 days ago, called them said they couldnt help me. they suck.

large array of experiences W/P.L.Hydro it seems, I on the other hand have had many positive dealings W/them including quick replacement for a bad unit no questions asked! (trust is hard to come by these days) and their price$ are very good. If stealth or exposure is a concern I suggest all those either not do business mail order (there are local supply options) or have a safe addy to deliver to, as no matter how plain brown wrapper something is if authorities want look into your undies, your drawers are going down! sorry to break up the fun of bashing vendors folks, hope you have many good crops & blessings to boot.

This is why I always buy from the local hydro store, yes I know some people don't have one around, but definitely do if you can. I usually just tell the owner I grow orchids and eggplant...although now I really AM growing eggplant(developing a hybrid) so it's all good.

Dunno about you but my store charges ridiculous prices. Only one in town though. Good if you need a quick replacement bulb or nutes but thats about it

It's been 7 days since my order and they haven't shipped yet!! I sent a email to them ( Jeff) and he assured me that I will have my order by tomorrow or saturday, I seriously doubt it unless they upgrade my shipping to overnight air...

Update on the order, they just mailed my order out. They upgraded shipping to ups next day air so I will get it on time! Awesome!
