my plants are getting to tall for my room i can't raise my light anymore i have tied the tops over but it still only leaves about a foot to the light and tey still have 6 to 8 more weeks of flowering....they are almost 6ft tall and i have them under 1000hps any help thanks......bongsmilie

top them?... not sure.... and isnt a foot too much space anyways... im not too sure.. im used to cfl growing... but those u gotta keep like inches awway from the plant

If you kept a 1000w 2 inches from your plants, you better have a supoer cooltube and port AC or something;
But beside that;
You cant really cant grow a 8 foot plant in a 6 foot room, ya know; Maybe you got another spot you could use? If you tried LST iunno, i wouldnt top them since your flowering , but thats just me!! :bigjoint:

can you move them to the conner and bean you may get 1 or 2 more feet. that what i do because i grow in the smallest place i could.

I had the same problem on my last grow. The only choice I had was to tie them down the best I could, and then super crop a couple branches every few days. Your taking a chance of stressing the shit out of them and getting hermies, so don't super crop to much at one time. I did it up to seven weeks into flower, and still got away with no hermies.

whats super crop????

whats super crop????

Super cropping is when you pinch a branch between two fingers and bend it over without breaking it. It will heal itself in a few days, and usuelly you end up with a new bud site at the pinch. but doing this during the flowering cycle, you do run a risk of getting a hermi. It may be your only option, just don't over do it.

i grew one beside the light.

I was thinking of putting some cfl in there but i have never used them what watt cfl bulbs do you use.I have plenty of room on the sides for them

Hey Neighbor, You can also tie them over, just slight amount of pressure on the line. I use binder clips and the rolls of Twist Tie. Looks sometimes inside my tent like a spider web from hell.

that what i have done but i think i'm still going to get some cfl's for the side

id suggest using the LST method by tying them and bending the tops where theyre not too stiff so they dont break or snap. u usually need to start when their young but if u vegged for a long time and allowed them to grow more then 18 inches before starting flowering photoperiod then u risk gettin too high. also if the light isnt cooled nad too close to the canopy it can burn ur bud and leaves. DONT cut/trim the top at all now that uve flipped into flwoering u will stress the plant and loose valuable bud.
