Plants in the flower stage.

It's probably a stupid question but this is my first grow and it's a outdoor grow. My question is how long do they flower for. How many weeks?? Like I said I'm new to all this. Thanks for any info! These are them as of yesterday! People have told me my plants are behind schedule for some reason. Two thoughts of why is maybe my soil is to compact and hindered growth or maybe a sativa or sativa dominant strain. The seeds were given to me so I have no info on the genetics. Thanks for your time and help!

What about the length of the day? You're not growing autos so they mature based on hormones released based on how long the dark period is.... so the later in the year the shorter the day and the faster they will try to ripen to beat the winter.

How far out in the country are you? I've heard of things like streetlights in the distance causing enough light issues to prevent flowering from completing (never personally witnessed since I live in a major city and can't grow outdoors yet).

One more question if you don't mind. What if the weather doesn't allow them to finish properly. As of now I don't have indoor lights. Should I get some to be prepared. Like I said I'm a newbie to all this
 
Also what's your rough latitude? The further south the longer the days are still and the slower they will probably ripen outdoors. That's why people do light dep hoophouses (my plan in the future).

Nah, just make sure they're covered. How much skill do you have with DIY? How tall are the plants? A PVC hoop house can be up to like 6' tall if you're not in a super windy area. You could also add some blackout cloth to roll out manually every night to make sure they're getting enough dark (so win/win).

Well most people don't like bringing stuff from outdoors to indoors because of bugs nd what not you can build something with. Tarp and PVC pipes or

I have them on the roof of the building I live in and yes I did think about the light pollution. There is alot of it. Should I take them in at night so they get complete darkness. Maybe bring them out from like 7-7? And I live in lower Michigan right outside of Detroit.

They are probably 41/2 feet tall. They are in pots so they are mobile

Is it getting hella cold now yah you can bring them in if your not worried about bugs and black them out

I can totally say it does happen as well. Had some clones sitting outside for ~3 days while waiting for a replacement for a broken LED driver and they got infected with aphids from my tomatoes.... brought them indoors because I didn't notice and all my house plants got infested.

I totally understand. Indoor room should stay sterile as possible
